This story occurred at my friends farm house, where he lived with his grandfather. I was about 18 just got back from boot camp. Our door bell rang and it was my buddy from school to welcome me home. He offered me a job getting his grandfathers cattle ready to be moved by the following month.
His grandfather was dieing and needed help. In Alabama everyone is family, more so in my home town than anywhere I have been. So I took the job and it was great. Until strange things started happening. We would go to the house and the door would be wide open and the fan would be on.
At first it didn’t seem to bother us, but later on it became a problem. Then one day we came in from the field and the stuff was stacked on the kitchen table and we were the only ones there besides his grandfather and he was bond to the bed. We got the guns and went around the house thinking maybe someone was stacking them up to come and get a lot at one time.We found nothing. So we decided to put a lock on all doors and a baby monitor in his room.
We went to work and a few days went by and nothing happened. So we almost forgot about the ordeal but we came back one day and all the doors inside the house were open but the front and back door. Once again we checked and nothing. We went to work that evening and were eating our dinner when we head someone walking and talking in his room.
So we jumped on the horses and ran back to the house. The door was locked. “Good”, I thought to myself when we got to his room I was scared stiff. We saw what looked like the out line of a man standing by his bed. Chris cut the lights on and it was gone. His grandfather had tears in his eyes. He was so scared he couldn’t talk. Neither could I for that matter.
In awe of what we had just seen we slept in the living room that night with our rifles. Not that they would help but we were scared. The next day we went back into the field and we heard what we thought was a man saying “Hello Charles” so we decided to listen for a while. His grandfather said something we couldn’t make out and we heard the heart monitor go off. So we ran to the house and he was gone. His grandfather ad passed away.
Later that night we told his mom what was said. She told us that it may have been his brother that he lost in the war. Coming to take him across. After he died we never saw anything again. Never really felt threatened but always felt watched.
I have had some really strange things happen to me but all are true and I need not defend that. I just wished as a child that it had not been me. I hated it now I am interested.

i think your friend’s mom was probably right. and what you saw and heard well, i can’t cuss on here so i’ll say wow what a story that must have been to live thru!!! i do believe that we don’t die alone and that someone we know comes to get us. i think your friend’s grandfather was happy to see who ever it was and he knew his time had come. thanks for a eyeopening experience!!

Yes, I believe someone comes and gets us, I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again, when my grandmother was dying she was in bed and two days before she died she said ” they’re coming “, and two minutes before she died she said ” thy’re here “! I don’t know who ” they ” were!

Very nice, scary and heartwarming story. I too believe that when it’s our turn to pass on, that one of our loved ones, who has passed on as well, comes to get us and escorts us to the other side. Thank you for sharing.

I agree with the mom. He might have been ‘scared’ of dying and not scared of the appearance of his brother. It IS scary in all the things that happened, but in the end, it truly was heartwarming.

Justin,, wow,, that gave me chills, and that doesnt happen very often,, i trully believe that others can help us cross over… i have also lived a life of paranormal activities… in fact,, well, this could be another story to post,, i have crossed 2 people over to Heaven…..not by trying to, it just happened in my dreams, and woke up with phone calls to say they had passes,, i will post about it.. you will see, that i have many posts, my life is full!!!!!
My dad always told me that we live with the spirits,, you know when you feel like someone is right behind you, or sitting beside,, they probably are!!!!
