Many strange paranormal occurrences have been happening in my house since I turned fifteen, a year after the death of my father. The first occurrence happened one night after dinner. My family and I were in the living room watching a movie for family night, when the pan that we had cooked chicken in slammed down on top of the stove. I saw this as I was walking back into the kitchen to get a drink. Everyone in the room was silent.
The second happening occurred again after dinner about a week later. This time it was just me and me sister watching TV. The TV started going off and on, and volume going up and down. We could hear the buttons clicking! If I would not have heard the buttons clicking I would have thought it was just the TV having a short out. We tried to tell our mother, but she didn’t believe us and threw out the TV.
Those occurrences were not really as scary to us as they were entertaining,not to mention I finally had proof that ghost were real. Although the strange stuff stopped happening for a while, you could every now and then hear a slight whisper that wasn’t easy to translate. For about a year nothing really happened, and then one night I woke up to sounds that I really can’t describe.
Every now and then, as I lay in bed awake, I could hear what sounded like something being dragged and then a heavy thud. After that I heard what sounded like to me someone gurgling on a liquid. I laid in bed from 3:30 that morning until the alarm went off for school. When the lights finally came on I wanted to cry. My sister had been awoken from the same noises as I had and was so scared, that when I called for her, she was afraid to answer me.
We heard the same noises again about 2 months later. Then everything stopped for a while. We began to think that maybe the ghost was just passing through, but now we don’t think that anymore. Things began happening again, such as: objects being thrown around, a fan moving while I was in our bedroom, figures seen in the foyer between our bedroom and living room, and ever deep voices in the house.
But now for the last four months its been pretty quiet. Just the occasional missing objects from our house and small things. We found out that a man had killed himself in my mothers bedroom and that there is also a young girl haunting us. My mother saw her, she now believes in ghost. I hope things stay nice and peaceful… with no scary stuff happening for a while. Maybe I’ll be able to stay in my bedroom when I sleep for now on.

Sometimes when a girl, especially, starts the turbulent teenage years, there can sometimes be poltergeist activity. It’s documented all over the world. Your energy might have caused something dormant in your house to awaken. They tend to draw on that energy. Don’t be afraid, I know it’s scary, but it will probably calm down soon. Take care!!
sounds like a poltergeist and lisa is right, and prepubecent boys can cause it too but not as much as girls. as long as noone gets hurt just ignore it. good luck and good story shelby
Hi Shelby – I’m sorry to hear about your father passing. At first, I thought it was going to end up being your dad for all the strange incidents, until you mentioned a man committed suicide, and a little girl haunts the residence also. At least you weren’t the only one experiencing this creepy stuff and have your sis and now mom at your side. I’m sure your father wouldn’t allow anything bad to happen to any of you. sorry to hear bout your dad but your story is similar to mine i was nearly 15 when my dad past away very suddenly, he use to visit the day he died an then after my mom had gotten herself a boyfriend that was when i was 15 an a half but anyway..(19 now)
i started having funny feelings in the house like i wasn’t alone an it was more than one entity especially when mom was out at night. i had vivid flashes of a little girl an other things being woken up by voices that you couldnt understand them (not my mothers or her boyfriend) an sometimes being pulled
my friend who can sense an hear spirits visited the one day for the first time and told me that theres a little girl and 6 other things he wasnt sure of (yay lucky me)
but i didnt believe him to be honest an if there where i sure wasnt gonna tell mom she is petrified of spirital activity but any way last year my mom phoned me at work crying saying this little girl wont leave me alone i was shocked so it wasnt my imagination anmy friend wasnt kidding, i got home and chatted with mum and she said she can still see the girl i placed my hand where she said the girl was and my hand went all tingly. she told me she always use to see funny things from the corner of her eyes like the one day she nearly tripped over my black cat but when she came past my room he was sleeping on the bed with me
but she stopped showing herself to mom but i dont mnd them they can stay as long as they dont scare mom or spook me lol.
another thing my mom an dad bought theis house after it was built they are the 1st people ever to live in it so how the spirits got here i dont know, seeing they come mostly from my old room which i used till i was 13. guess they like the energy lol
nicole, i was 14 when my mother died and 15 when my father died. your story is almost exactly like mine…including the friend who can sense spirits. the only thing is that i have been staying with my grandmother for the last week and the girl has followed me. i now think that the little might be my mother, because i have an old picture of my mother when, she was about six, on Easter and she is in the exact dress that the little girl is always in. when i see the little girl, i never see her face clearly. there was also a boy child that haunted us but he didn’t come back around after i moved away.
