Sleep Paralysis and a Demon

Posted on October 23, 2010

My first encounters with the paranormal are explained in my first story “My First Experience with an Evil Entity

I experienced sleep paralysis for the first time early this year and I hope it will be my last.

Shortly before moving into a new house I was sleeping one night and I woke up in the new house that we were moving into. I was lying in a bed in a room and everything was all dark and I was totally paralyzed. Even though I couldn’t see a thing I somehow knew an evil entity was in the room with me. Then my body began shaking violently and this went on for a while. This was really horrible.

I was terrified I didn’t know what was going on and what was harming me. I felt like I had this sixth sense that could read the evil entities mind and I knew it wasn’t going ‘kill’ me but It was still harming me.

I seemed to ‘wake up’ after that, back in my old house where I had fallen asleep.

This was very strange experience and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Then I remembered hearing about sleep paralysis and read the scientific explanation of it (the body protecting itself while dreaming, hallucinating, and so on) I believed this for a bit but then did some more research and found people have experienced this all over the world for hundreds, if not thousands of years. And, everybody seems to experience with same thing with the evil entity or demon or witch.

If it was hallucinating, wouldn’t people be seeing other things other than demons? Such as unicorns or other fantasy type of beings?

I don’t believe sleep paralysis to be explained by science, when you have felt what I felt, there is no way I made that up in my mind.

I moved into the new house and only lived there for 3 months. Turns out the guy who lived there before me was a criminal who believed in demons and seemed to experience them and was possibly possessed, I think that I was picking up his energy or the demon associated with him in the house.

Hmm, did anything happen while you lived in that new house for 3 months?? Did you experience more sleep paralysis or have any nightmares?

    • Rachael says:

I have experianced sleep paralisys since i was five yrs old. I have had many terrifiying encounters with demons. This continued on untill I was 15. The older I got the less the encounters happened. I have about 1-2 encounters with sleep paralisys still every year.

    • Gemma says:

No more sleep paralysis. I only had a few creepy dreams but I never had any paranormal experiences in that house.

i certainly know where you are coming from i have had dream paralysis on several occasions and so has my mother. I am in bed and something is either sitting on the bed or even being violent to me. I willed myself to say leave me alone and get out of this house and i have never had one again fingers crossed. I told my mother the same and she has not had one since. Just may help you, as my mother and i know they are terrifying. All the best

  4. Teri says:

I’m glad you moved. Are things calmed where you are now? Surround yourself with positivity & not negativity. Its so hard to do, I know but try.

  5. ayaka says:

if it happens again please contact someone holy to burn some sage and wave it all over the house and pray to chase out the ghosts, place foil of burnt ash and garlic in the 4 corners or the house, everynight put baby oil mixed with garlic and ash on your forhead making the sign of a cross before sleeping. face your shoes that are outside away from the door and when you go in and out try to close the door quickly so they wont come back in .Try to not get home after 8pm and if you do wait 10 minutes before going in to the house,(includes guests) do for at least one to two weeks, it works well, trust me i know , some spirits tried to posses and take away my little one year old brother because he played with them, hes such a sweet boy thank god they’re away from him now. this is my opinoin on getting rid of them. if you do not agree its alright try something else, just dont waste your money moving around to new places, i hope this some how helps :) ) Praying for you

    • Gemma says:

      Thanks Ayaka
In the house my mom actually used to sense a presence and went around the rooms burning sage.
thanks for your advice I’ll consider it if I ever have problems again.

I too have experienced something “other worldly”? Here is my story. About 22 years ago when I was married to my first husband, strange things would happen that I could not explain. The morning after we married I woke and watched my husband get ready for work. He left and I fell back asleep. Sounds pretty normal right? I later woke to find that I could not move even one little muscle in my body. I felt complete terror. What was so strange was that I could hear what sounded like my husbands work boots walking trough the house into the bedroom and on to the bath. I then felt something walking toward me and felt the mattress sink as if someone were sitting beside me. I felt it lean toward me and whisper to me “what, no kiss?” It felt completely evil and I did not, could not regain movement until I started screaming, in my head since I could not move anything other than my eyes, the name of Jesus Christ. Finally I was able to say it out loud and I was able to move. I also felt as if whatever seemed to be there vanished. It didn’t happen only once either. It continued for almost 3 yrs. It only went away when I divorced; like it was attached to my then husband and not to me. I do not believe in ghost and I know I was not dreaming. My question is, can demons attach themselves to someone through association? He and I share a daughter together and she has often felt as if she were in battle with something dark.

    • sharayah says:

did you ever tell your ex-husband what was going on?

    • Gemma says:

Yes demons can attach them selves to people, I’ve had one attached to me.
You can get rid of them, look around this website and you’ll find info on how to help :)
