NOTE: This was origianlly submitted as a comment to Talking to a Friend in Hell. I thought it was very interesting and merited its own entry for better discussion.
Actually, not all demons are evil or mix lies with truth. In some cultures, they believe that some demons are good and some are evil. Some demons do help humans as there have been many stories throughout the ages about this. There is one story in particular that’s posted someone on this very same site. It was a true Egyptian story about a sick man (I believe) who was visited by a woman who was controlled by demons. I will try to find the story here and attach the link so that you can read the full story. The lady came to this sick man and was giving him information on the illness of several human beings. The lady was actually using this man to aide other human beings.
She said that she was owned by the demons that she aided when she was alive and they were making her do this to the sick man. It wasn’t anything bad. She was actually helping him detect illnesses in living human beings which brings me to another belief. I believe those humans in “hell” stay there for the most part and are owned/controlled by demons (non-human) to do their bidding. I believe the human spirits become just like the demons and are forced to do whatever the demons want them to do or be tortured/punished. I don’t believe they can simply just walk out of hell. Its not that easy.
I’ve read many stories of human spirits owned by demons or being slaves of demons or haunting a house on a demons behalf. I don’t believe demons simply allow humans to leave hell at their wish. Its much more harder to leave than you think. Also, you say hell is like a sentence, you’re there for some temporary time. If I kill 20 people, how long would I be in hell for? 20 years, 20 days (if it took me 20 days to kill those people) or 20 hours. What’s the sentence until I’m fully rehabilitated. Does jail actually rehabilitate vicious killers? Does hell actually rehabilitate vicious killers?
I believe there is a “temporary hell” or punishment for those spirits that can be rehabilitated or didn’t do that much bad. But, I also believe in a permanent hell for those who are not remorseful or repentant. There are such people that can’t be rehabilitated and enjoy hurting other people for fun. Anyway, here goes the link to that Egyptian story I was talking about above. In this story, you will see the demons used this woman to communicate with this sick man. The demons actually used the woman to help the man help other human beings. Link below:
