It's a common thing yes, but as far as the ending goes I just don't believe that happened. And if you were concerned about your daughter's imaginary friend then you should of taken her to see a therapist. And while she's with the therapist you could call up a priest or a paranormal group to find out exactly what this imaginary friend is.. Or if it's just a figment of your daughter's imagination.
