I would have made a fortune! ( well at least to a 9 year old LOL ) We had apports as well ( things disappearing & re-appearing ) and re-occuring hauntings ( my dead grandfather was always doing chores in the garden or going to work ) amd he was seen by neighbours and visitors. Like you, I'm pretty accepting of the paranormal as a result. We lived only 4 houses from the local cemetary and like yourselves concluded we were some " half way house " for spirits for a time, particularly when we had a frightening encounter with a poltergeist.
