Haunted Cries from Cold Mountain

Posted on May 16, 2010

The Story begins when my family and I are at somewhere far away in Alaska (I don’t want anyone to know the location of this mountain) on a summer trip with my favorite uncle Tommy in his rented cabin, my dad and I are going to get some wood the old fashion way instead going to the small town almost near our cabin to get some logs there for the fire place. That creepy night, my family and I hear strange wolves howling at exactly 12 am then suddenly stops at 3:33 am, it keeps happening almost every single freaking night man. One night, while we were all downstairs together (Its a huge Cabin with a bunch of windows and rooms, its like a 2 story house made of wood), we hear loud thumping sounds upstairs dragging something that CAME FROM MY ROOM!, we came up and saw nothing, we didn’t got robbed or anything like that but my mom spot little blood drops on the floor of the hall, everybody knows that each one of us don’t have any cuts on our bodies so everybody was freaked out.

My sisters and I are searching on the net about this town till we found out that an old man who likes to kill townsfolk use to live in our cabin before he fled to the coldest mountain after the townsfolk knew who was responsible for all the sadistic killings that terrified all the people, they say he comes to town and kidnaps people, especially little children to the mountain but people never knew what he does to them after he takes them to the mountain, some say the same way he did to his previous victims in town and some said even worse. My sisters and I couldn’t tell mom, dad and Tommy because we didn’t want to scare them. Due to my curiosity, I asked Tommy if we can both hiked the cold mountain while the rest of the family are in town just for fun between uncle and nephew, he agreed obviously afterward. We put on our hiking gear and warmest clothes or coats to hiked to that mountain. As we hiked to the top for like 15 minutes, we begin to hear distant cries or calls from the top, my uncle didn’t mind at first because he keeps telling himself and me that its just the wind. But as we keep hiking up, the cries keep getting louder and clearer to hear, One cry said “Turn Back!” others were sobbing but the one that scared me the most was when I heard one male voice said behind Tommy and I “you’re getting….closer…keep going..”. it nearly gave me a heart attack.

It has been 23 minutes, we began to see a dark figure far away from us in the top, we yelled at the figure to tell us who it was but no answer, we began to hear shouting and cries even more as we try to reach to the top to find out whets up there, and see the dark figure more often. My uncle keeps telling me in front of me that “just ignore it Anthony, and we’ll be okay…we have to settle it once and for all”. I was completely confused of what he means by that but he begins to constantly look behind to check if I was okay, later he eventually let me be in front so I wont panic because of that feeling I have that someone is creeping up behind me. As we climb up it gets colder and colder until we found a person frozen to death, I remembered a saying “curiosity killed the cat” if we keep going, we will be frozen dead. I begged my uncle to head back and tell the authorities about the dead body but he wouldn’t listen, I begged yet again and I said “I care about your life, don’t you care about me?!” My uncle Tommy suddenly turned around and put his hand on my shoulder “I….DO..” we quickly head back, hear the cries less and less and see the strange dark figure less and see as we hiked down. We finally got back and went to the police about the dead body, the police were glad we were okay but they didn’t believe us of what we seen and heard, Tom and I didn’t care.

One dark night Ill never ever forget about, about 3:13, I woke up in the arms of my uncle still in our pajamas, he was trying to carry me to the top of that mountain, my parents and sisters quickly stopped him, realizing what he has try to do, he cried in front of me saying he was sorry over and over again, we all knew he was possessed but… when? I loved my uncle with all my heart, I told him it wasn’t his fault and actually my fault since I made him hiked that mountain with me. Day later, we moved out of the cabin and we all head back to California to spend the rest of the summer there at our house and we would never speak of what had happened there in Alaska from those few weeks.
