Thistle, I’m a bit upset because your parents seems didn’t believe you or take you seriously to the point that they locked their bedroom door away from you.
Oww. it must be scary sleeping there alone with all those noises and the things you saw there.
Did your parents finally believe you? when did they finally take you more seriously?
what happen to the desk?? I’m curious.. ^^

I wonder if it wasn’t/isn’t the desk itself, but the photographs.

We humans used to think that photos took a part of our souls, and often unearthing a photo can awaken restless spirits (or in some cases cause a “haunting” to start). I do wonder if the spirits were tied to the photographs, as though you saw a “snapshot” in time. I’ve had this theory for some time, based on things I’ve researched and experienced; seems as though most haunting are indeed “one moments” in time.

As I said, it’s a theory

Dear Thistle,
Wow!!!
I have heard that furniture can carry an impression of the owner(s) from the past,
but, Your story is Horrifying!
My goodness, how amazing that a thing of such delicate beauty can carry such
terrible vibrations. Those poor girls! Poor YOU!
I like antique and vintage things; though I have often worried about something being
attached to an item, something horrible like you have experienced. As of yet, I have
been fortunate, even though I have a consignment shop for antique and vintage things,
I have only had one incident with a chair.
The chair seemed to have an “owner”.Eventually, I had to have some assistance in getting the “owner” to leave my shop and the chair. He was not evil or bad, but, he was
getting on my nerves. I live in my shop with my cats and dog. All was quite for a long
time then when the economy started to decline, “he” must have wanted to show “his”
concern. I would have “dreams” that “he” was sitting on my bed, I could actually
feel him pressing against my back! Ugh! This went on for a while, keeping me from
getting any rest, also, keeping my cats from sleeping with me. So, I had to get a girl
to come to my shop and ask “him” to leave. I believe “he” did, because, I have had
no trouble with” him” since last year.
Your story is incredible. Please share more, I would love to read more about your
experiences.

I can’t understand the assosiation of the desk and seeing the ghost, unless somehow the desk played a role in why he murdered the two girls. Strange, yeah did you get rid of the desk??
