I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to ghosts. A lot of my friends tell me about their ghost stories and I believe them but, I have to see it to believe it.
I went to another ghost sight and told my story and the people who left comments did not believe me they kept coming up with excuses as to what it could have been. I don’t know what it was but I have never been so scared in my life. I have never seen a ghost before but I believe in them.
I was in my room and my daughter was in the den. The way the house is made the den is in the back of the house and it sits up high. In order to look in the window you have to be like 7 or 8 feet tall. (this is an important fact) Anyway my daughter was in the den on her cell phone when she came in my room with a strange look on her face, she said mom I see something outside.
I followed her into the den and asked her what she saw. She said she was sitting in a chair when she looked outside and saw a light (we have plantation shutters). She said the light moved slowly across the window, at first she thought it was her uncle outside walking but it wasn’t. (and it wasn’t a car) because the den faces out to a yard so you cannot see any cars driving by. I thought it was strange so I told her I would open the plantation shutters and sit where she was sitting to see what it could be. Big mistake, as I was looking I saw a pale face and wild hair.
I was so scared I couldn’t look at it dead on for what I might actually see, and it actually moved it’s head over and looked at me through the window. I screamed as loud as I could jumped out of the chair and ran. (funny I know) I closed the shutters and called the police. Now my dog barks at anything and he did not bark, but when the police came he barked. The police checked around and did not see anything. After my heart jumped back in my chest I was trying to come up with what it was I saw.
The next day I went outside and examined the window. This is when I learned that I could not look into the window, even while standing on a chair I could not look into the window so what did I see?
There is a graveyard down the street but across on another street. I don’t think my house is haunted but I don’t know some things I guess I explain away. Please tell me what you think. Do you think an 8 feet tall pale person with wild hair looked in my window without my dog barking?
I have other stories to tell. I love this site I like reading the stories and I hope they are all true because believe me mine is true.

thats kinda weird and cool at the same time,I see people moving around me all the time even when i’m alone,atleast I havent seen any faces as of yet,just bodies,every where I go,maybe i’m losing my mind or somethings following me.but anyway,freaky experience i would say,keep’em coming,love reading these kinda things

I belive you, tell more stories. Dont worry, there are alot of skeptics out there. My husband is one of them and that is why I only discuss any ghost stories on this site. Else, people will think that I am crazy!!
soo creepy! i just read this at work, and im alone..now im scared! lol
Most people don’t understand that a dog, that has already encountered a spirit, normally will not bark at it. The dog will view it as “part” of the family’s life. If you ever got a new dog, it might bark -or- greet “it” the first couple of times…of seeing it, then it too, would stop after seeing it around.
But, watch out for a growling dog- thats when the animal knows something’s wrong- even if had seen the spirit every day for years, if the “Entity”approaches in the wrong manner the dog will protect you with it’s verbal warning.
Oh, and the spirit was Hovering- no doubt about it! Can’t wait to read more!
I most certainly believe you ! if you have a graveyard close by it could be a displaced spirit looking for where they are suppose to go obviously this spirit understood he was trying to make contact with you …burn sage and go thru each room of your house and grounds it’s called smudging , also try different inscense like dragons blood or lavender it should help …but most of all dont be afraid you are gods child

There are different types of spirits. This one, since it did not hurt you or even give you a warning, was probably just curious.
If you have another encounter with a ghost, you should try talking to them.
I think she must be a ghost. I read AJ comments about dogs. I agree with him. maybe the dog already saw that wild-hair lady ghost before & recognizes it. that ghost wasnt evil so that’s why he didn’t bark or growl. also there was a possibility she wasn’t 8 feet tall, maybe she was floating!!!!! (did you see her feat or just see her face?)
I totally beileive you i love reading and listening to ghost stories i’ve admired them all my life but i’ve never really had encounter
thats all right trisha some folks never do i didn’t for along time and you don’t really have to go looking for the paranormal, you have all your life to learn about it all thanks for believing!!!!!!!

i live a 10 minutes walk away from a big graveyard and i’ve had my share of creepy stuff and ghost sightings
just be careful… and AJ is right, if you’d be in danger, the dog would growl, warning you. i know this because i myself have a dog and sometimes, at night, she’d bark or growl all of a sudden. usually, i just turn on a light and try to calm her down.
