Ghost Lady In A Red Night Gown

Posted on March 3, 2008

I swear every part of this story to be true you chose if you believe me or not.

I live in a really old haunted house, most of it is over a hundred years old. It belonged to my great-grand parents who traded a pick up truck for it in the early 1900′s. My Grandpa was born in what is now our dinning room. It was left to my mother and I have lived in it my whole life. I am 20 years old.

I know my great grand mothers (who died three days before I was born)sprit is in that house, I feel her all the time and she does little things to remind me she is there and I talk to her often(when I have things in my life I can’t handle). But other than her I have never seen another ghost.

When I was in 6th grade mama met this man I do not like and within a few months ended up leaving me and my little brother for. After a few years she moved back bringing him with her because he had fathered her third child (the love of my life, he is five). I still did not like him and him living in our house made it worse he had a bad problem with drugs and drinking and was making all our lives horrible. After a while I could not take it so I prayed to my great grandmother about it.

One night I was up late talking on the phone like I did almost every night then, when I got up to go smoke. We don’t smoke in our house so we go out on the porch. To get to the porch from my room you have to walk through the entire house then through the living room. When I got to the door of the living room I turned on the light (which made it the only light on in the house) and was startled by my mama’s boyfriend staring blankly in the other direction at nothing fully dressed with a bag on his shoulder (this is at three in the morning). I think he is dumb anyway so I asked what the hell are you doing? and he said I’m going home and never coming back. I just said ok and went on the porch to smoke (I did not really care ha ha ha).

He followed me and then without me asking told me what had happened, he was asleep when he was awoken be a cold hand shaking him telling him to wake up. he thought it was my mom so he sat up all mad and sad “WHAT” and there before him stood a short, little old lady with white hair in a red night gown telling him to leave. Now the first thought that came to his mind was my great grand mother but I have seen pictures and she is in no way short or little and she always had her hair colored.

My five year old brother used to say that a lady in a red dress came to play with him but other than that no one else has seen her. Mama’s boyfriend left that night and will not come back, mama ended up moving in with him leaving me the house. I talked to my grandfather about this and he said I had asked for her help and got it. I think that’s one reason I feel so safe. If I ever do see the lady in red I just hope she is as nice as my great grand mother

Good storty, shame your mum can’t stop herself from following this bloke.
Maybe the lady is your guardian.
