Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Hello I have a true ghost story that still scares me to think about.

Well, my step-dad works third shift and usually doesn’t like when my friends stay over (because he really doesn’t like anybody). Well he leaves around 11 so I told my friend Nick we could go stay there for a while, while he was gone.

When we got there we had to go in through the back door (because I didn’t have a house key and that was the door I left unlocked). When we walked in I knew something wasn’t right, I kept telling Nick that we needed to leave but he insisted we stay. So I listened and we stayed.

The house was completely dark so I started turning some lights on and while I was doing that I told Nick to go check and make sure nobody was in the house (I usually always do that, I’m kinda paranoid). When he said “coast is clear” I walked up stairs.

I immediately became tired and laid down in the room. I was sound asleep when I jolted up out of bed to hear a high pitched scream, I have cold chills just writing it. I woke Nick to tell him what I heard and he immediately woke up (he’s very protective over me) and told me to stay put. As he was walking down the stairs we heard it again. This time along with foot steps, heavy footsteps, sounding like boots walking downstairs. He was scared and didn’t want to go downstairs, but did anyways.

I was alone for about 10 minutes, until he finally came back, his face white as the walls. He told me we had to get out of the house right away. I asked why but he wouldn’t tell me, so I was crying and we walked down the stairs. We made our way in our kitchen and out through the backdoor where we came in. On our way out we heard someone whispering and walking in the kitchen, I knew someone was in there. Well we both peeked in the kitchen at the same time and when we did something was peeking at us to. But the weird thing that made my heart stop was I could see right through this thing. The “thing” ran and when it did the rug moved out of the kitchen.

Well we ran out the backdoor, I could barely run because I was so scared and when I looked back I saw “it” at the door, we drove away and didn’t say a word the whole ride. My mom has always told me she’s seen a little boy in the house and heard whispers, I’ve never believed her until now.

Sorry this was so long but it is very true and still scares me, to this day I don’t go into my house if nobody is there and I’m currently living with my boyfriend so I don’t have to be there.
