This is my true encounter with a ghost. I thought I was gonna have my heart go through my chest! I was about 7 or 8 years old. My grandfather was staying with us because my grandmother had passed away and he didn’t want to be in the house anymore because of an experience he had with what he believed to be my grandmothers spirit. I was glad he came to stay with us because I didn’t like going into my kitchen in the dark by myself!
So, one night I got up to get a drink of water and for some reason I was just gonna walk in and get a drink without anyone with me. As I walked from my room (at the doorway to the living room) I saw this white, smoky ghost I guess you would say. She was hovering over the arm of the couch which was just across from the couch my grandfather was sleeping on. This “ghost” was female to what I could make out and her hair was long, about to her waist but she looked like she had wings! She was still kind of transparent. She was looking at my grandfather, from what I remember, she seemed as if she was holding her hands out to her side. I ducked back into my bedroom. All this happened in what I think is the blink of an eye, but I got and eyeful in just a few seconds!
I got the nerve back up to go back in there because I was thirsty and I wanted a drink of water or soda! So I went (by myself again) and through the living room and to the kitchen doorway, when there again, stood a fat kind of ghost only about 3 feet in length and a bit bigger than the other one hovering in the doorway. For some reason, I wasn’t scared I walked right through that thing and got a drink from the refrigerator. I looked back to see if it was still there, but nothing. I walked back to my room and it hit me. (not the ghost) I was thinking, what did I just do?
My heart started pounding! Me a 7 or 8 year old walks right through what I thought was a ghost! And not being scared at the time I did it. It was simply mind-blowing! I would put my hand on a stack of bibles to let you know this is the truth as I remember it! We also, I might add were a religious family at the time.
After this happened, I talked to my mother about it and she said that it was probably an angel watching over my grandfather. She couldn’t exactly explain the other thing by the kitchen I walked through. It still makes me a bit uneasy telling that one. But here is something interesting I found out a few years later. The spirits that were there, were seen by my parents but they saw them as the male and female spirits. My mother saw the spirit of the woman one night go from the hallway to our room and then she dissipated. The male was also spotted in the house. My parents had started figuring out that every time they saw these spirits, something bad would happen. I’m not saying someone would die, just something bad. This had went on for the length of time we lived there.
I also later found out we had a graveyard nearby. Just up the hill in fact. I wondered if our house sat on a graveyard! What is strange is, when we sold our house to move by my uncles in a different state, my mother and I think, my dad saw a woman, man and two children holding hands at the front doorway. That still gives me chills!
And since living in that house I have had visions of things to happen or have just happened and get up to see it on the news! My mother has seen ghosts in almost every house thereafter she has lived in, including the one she resides in today! She says she just goes on about her business and they do the same.

why you mother saw ghost every house. maybe your parents can build new house will never see the ghost again. haha…..^_^

It’s not fair to say that if your mama had a new house built it would not happen again, because my sister is the same. Every house she has lived in, something crazy has happened to her. It’s not the house or place always, it’s the person.

in the part where you said you felt as if your heart was going to come out of your chest is very interesting. I had almost the same thing happen to me but I was sleeping in my room was having a nightmare, as soon as I woke up I saw an old woman staring at me, I tried to get up but it felt as if the old lady had paralized my hole body, and for some reason i felt like choking her I know it sounds weird but i just felt that need to do that, it wasnt the first time the ghost confronted me she did it about 4 or 5 more times.
You definitely saw an Angle, but the fat floating thing that you walked through? That was probably a Cherub. Or maybe just a spirit floating around carelessly but why you walked through it and thought about it later is rather strange… It might have been your guardian angle which is why you felt no fear when you walked through it. Also, your family began seeing ghosts after moving out of this place, apparently when you moved in and stayed there, it opened up and tuned-up your perception, which is why your having premonitions and precognitive dreams.
Amazing story! There is a good and a bad to seeing ghost well the good is personally I think that it is cool and plus you know what your up against. The bad thing is that the ghost might have some unpleasent characteristics and scare the be-jeezes out of you. It is important that you carry on about your “confrence” with the ghost, you don’t want it to scar you for the rest of your life ^^
I WOULD LIKE YOUR OPINION, AS YOU STATED YOU WOULD HELP IF YOU COULD. WENT TO SEE THIS WOMAN WE HEARD ABOUT. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.#! SHE DIDN’T HAVE MUCH TO SAY TO THE OTHERS EXCEPT TO ASK MY MOTHER TO STOP READING THE CARDS! WHEN MY TURN CAME THE FIRST THING SHE SAID WAS THAT I WAS VERY PSYCHIC. SHE SAID AS I GOT OLDER I WOULD BE ABLE TO USE IT. THIS WAS 30# YRS AGO, AND OTHER THAN THE USUAL (I THINK SOMETHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN FEELINGS) NOTHING. sometimes with an angle spirit,they can be helpful,my grandmaa9great grandma) is my angle . she watches out for me and makes sure that i am not getting into trouble,when i am.she pulls my hair or calls my name.
