Events Surrounding my Sister

Posted on July 26, 2010

Hello again, everyone. It has been a while since I have submitted a story, and this one is actually events that have happened to my sister, and my niece.

We have always been a family who sees things, hears things, dreams things. I imagine that some of the things we have experienced, others would freak out about. That being said, I suppose I’ll start from the earliest story I remember my sister telling me.

It was the early 80′s. I was little, 5-7 years old. My sister is 15 years older than me. She was a newlywed. They lived in an old quaint home in the older section of town, and her husband was a bartender, leaving her home at night while he worked. She piddled around doing her own thing, and when at home always said she just felt like something wasn’t quite right. Then, things started happening, like hearing someone call her name when she was alone. She would come home to the bathtub full of scrambled eggs.(of all things)The doorways in the house had curtains for doors, and she would see the curtains move as if someone had looked in & let it go. Another strange thing about this time was that every bar her husband worked at burned down(and no, he was not a pyro). The thing that freaked her out, and me too when she told me, was when she finally saw someone. She heard a noise in the living room, that’s where her hubby kept his Harley so no one would steal it. When she went to look, she saw a man hanging from the ceiling rafter above the bike. She said that she knew it was not real, in our time anyway. She did some investigating with the landlord, and a tenant actually did hang himself there. With time their marriage dissolved.

A lot of things happened surrounding her during her childhood and after this incident, but I’m not sure of those details, so I will skip to around 2000- 2006. She was married to another man at this time, and they lived in a nice double wide he had bought before they met and it sat on a large piece of land that had a small cabin dating from the 1800′s. The cabin was used as a rent house and later storage. She would see people looking out the window of the cabin in it’s time as storage unit. Inside the house, she said there was a spirit of a little boy. It started with the bedroom doors being opened. She kept all the doors in the house closed, and would actually see them open, sometimes right after she closed them. She saw the boy playing with the Christmas tree after these door incidents began. Eventually, they moved. He bought her a brand new house in a new neighborhood
and she thought her days of seeing things were over. Nope. The kitchen was the starting point. Her bedroom is on the back wall of the kitchen, so she can hear what happens in the kitchen. From her bedroom she could hear the pots and pans banging, cabinet doors. She would think, what? Go to investigate and… nothing out of place. She told me at one point, it sounded like someone was destroying her kitchen. Her husband died not long after they moved there. My niece told my sister that someone was taking the covers off of her at night. My brother in law had bought her a stereo, and she said at night she could hear someone rustling through her CD’s, and the radio would turn on.

The part where it gets really creepy to me is when she started saying that her closet door would open. It is not a hinge style door, rather a door on a track that slides left to right to open. At this point the covers would be jerked off her, not slowly like slipping off the bed. My niece was screwing up a lot, and thought it was her step-dad kicking her in the pants to straighten up. A family member of my sister who is a medium came over to her house and told her it was our uncle who had committed suicide in 1989. He was always fond of us, and apparently that fondness rubbed off to my niece, and this was his way of catching her attention. That family member of my sister is married into the family, and did not know my uncle. There is a lot more to up from here, but that’s enough for today. I’ll make a part 2 sometime. Till next submission….

Your sister has had quite a life! yes you do think when you move into a new home that hauntings won’t occur but that’s not always true…. sorry to hear about your Uncle; that is SO sad… you all must have the gift of sensing or seeing spirits… I bet she’ll experience this all her life…

honestly anna, i don’t know. i just know she was mad at him and her and her girlfriend filled it up. this would have been in the late 40′s. i’m just confused as to this girl coming home and finding, of all things, scrambled eggs in her tub!! i just know it’s possible for someone to do this, and don’t feel this act is paranormal. but just that part!

Yeah, I’ve seen and heard alot, but scrambled eggs? That was the first time I heard that one. My brother in law died from complications of diabetes. I imagine some of the events could likely be him. My sister told me that one day, she was in the restroom in her bedroom, and someone knocked on the door and all her kids were gone. When I asked her what she did, she said she ran to the neighbors’ house trying to act nonchalant like it was just a regular visit. That would have totally freaked me out!
