The bear that wasn’t there
When I was in my mid teens, me and two buddies would buy beer and wine (one of my buddies was old enough to buy it). Then we would either go down a deserted road to a lake and camp in the car and build bomb fires and have a blast.
One week end we decided to go to a different place. When they put a new road through above where we all lived, they straightened out some corners on this road. And that left parts of the old road, that were by that time good for driving on to and hiding out of sight of the main road. Well that night we pulled the car down behind some trees and keep the fire low, so no one could see it. The place really creeped us out.
We all had a feeling we were being watched, and kept hearing weird noises. Well we drank some beer and decided we were tired so we put the fire out climbed into the car laid down and went to sleep.
We awoke about 3 hours later to something rocking the car from side to side and we could see these red eyes. What ever it was was rocking the car up on two wheels and back down again. There was just enough moon light out to see but there was nothing there except those red eyes. And then it stopped all at once and the eyes disappeared.
Every thing got deadly still. We were in shock and scared. My friend came to his senses first and jumped behind the wheel, started the car and we tore out of there burning rubber, And never went back.
To this day we don’t know what it was that night, but it had to be strong to rock the car like that.
