Firstly, I stumbled across this site when I was researching the Ouija Board. I was looking for true stories of people and their experiences with the Ouija Board. As a Christian and a servant of the Living God and his son, Jesus Christ, I know all about the dangers of the spirit world and the menacing evil that lurks in the abyss.
The bible states that Christians do not battle against flesh and blood. This means that a Christian battle takes place in the spiritual world which cannot be seen with the naked eye. This battle is between humans and spiritual creatures we Christians call Demons or as the bible calls them fallen angels.
Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Some people call demons… Shadows, Murkers, Entities, Swirls Of Light, Orbs Of Light, Elves, Fairies, Spirits, Poltergeists, Trolls, Etins, Troglodytes, Nefilim, Goblins, Trows, Knockers, Leprechauns, Brownies or Braunies, The Great Ones, gods or The Super Chiefs as Hitler called them. Whatever you call Demons, these spiritual creatures are real. They are extremely evil and terrible in appearance. They do not have physical bodies but can appear in their true forms for sort periods of time. These spiritual creatures possess extraordinary strengths and abilities. People who have encountered these frightening spiritual creatures all gave similar descriptions when they appear as looking like reptiles ie like frogs or serpents with flaming red eyes, scales, fangs, and claws.
Revelation 16:13 – And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Whenever people describe their contact with demons, they always say that they smell awful. Demons emit a ghastly sulfuric odor that emanates from them. This odor is putrid and truly unpleasant to humans. You always know a demon is present because you can smell them before seeing them.
Demonic spirits, feed on human emotions such as fear, hate and terror. They absorb and thrive on the wickedness and horrors that humans commit. In addition to feeding on negative emotions, demons manifest physically and eat the flesh and drink the blood of humans offered to them in sacrificial rituals.
These creatures are accursed creatures and even though they are powerful, they still prefer to ‘possess a human body’. You see, demons need housing to operate in the physical world of man that is why they seek out human bodies to control.
Those who are involved in the Occult, Satanism, Witchcraft, Sorcery or Black Magic all rely on demonic spirits for their powers. They invoke or call forth these horrid creatures to their bidding. However, demons cannot be controlled by humans. Those who believe that they are really controlling demons with amulets, relics and spells are insane. You cannot control a demonic spirit that can never die and has existed before the creation of the world.
Many people who venture into Satan’s world never make it out alive. Satan’s kingdom is ruled by fear and cruelty. Those who serve Satan and his demons know that being disciplined by Satan or his demons is like waking up in hell. Exodus to the Truth.

There is so much wrong in what you saying I dont even know where to start. But Witches do not believe in a Devil and Santanist use reversed Penticles/Pentagrams they never invented them there used by many people for good and protection also during sabbats and ancient rituals I have used both myself. The name Lucifer is not one of Satan’s names. Lucifer refers to the ‘bringer of light’ not in fact Satan- or even a Demon at all. Look to the Bible and you will see that this name has been made up by men.

I agree with you, caretaker, when you say this site is about all things paranormal, including the demon stuff. If someone can come on here and talk about their experience with satanism in one way, why can’t another person come on and talk about it in another? When it comes to demons and that, of course religion will be included. Regardless of the religion, I feel it merits time here for us to read and comment about.

you know I also have this experienced of “sleep paralysis”, and I know there is this black image started to give pressure to my feet while I am sleeping. I woke up in a middle of the night just to feel this experienced. my body cannot move, but my mind is wide awake and my eyes opened. since my mind is still functioning at the time, I did called the name “Jesus” many times in my mind until my body has back to normal.
this sleep paralysis happened again twice in our staff house. the same thing, I woke up in the middle of the night but this time I felt the presence which is trying to invade my body and my faith. my eyes and mind is totally awake except that I can’t move my body. I tried to open my mouth to say the name of “Jesus” but there is no word coming out of my mouth. as if the words came out from my mouth is like the growl of a monster but I could not hear. I felt the presence wanting to overcome my body. my mind is functioning and again I speak in my mind the name of “Jesus”, and in just one seconds, my body has back to normal.
devil comes in any form. they can even pretend to be our dead relatives, friends or people who are dear to us. it is just depend on us if we will let this devil to manipulate us.

I have this experience of “sleep paralysis” and it happened not once but three times.

I repeatedly spoken the name of God and in just few seconds everything back to normal.
I already felt that the devil wants to invade my body but he did not won.
Remember in the Holy Bible, the Apostles of Christ thought they had seen a ghost when Jesus walked into the water.
Devil has possessed many people in the New Testament and is even active in the Old Testament. When Cain killed his brother Abel, it was the devil whispering him to do this evilness. When King David planned to kill Urias, the husband of Batsheba, he was being tested by devil. When Eve gave the fruit of life to Adam, it was the devil speaking in her mind. So many things have happened in the Old Testament and in the New Testament proving that ghost, devil and evilness is already in this world before us. It is only depend on us if we will let those bad elements to invade us and manipulate our soul and spirit.
Our God has given us many options and choices. But the problem is with us because we tend to follow those bad elements instead of following Gods words.
This forum is not only for ghost. This can also be for God. Long as there is a forum about ghost and evilness, God will surely be involved because He don’t want to mislead his sheep and He will find a way to be involved to the extent of using His Shepherd which knows more of Gods words.

To everyone – If you dont like a story here I think it would be better not to comment at all than just to comment to say you dont like it. That is just my opinion. We get a lot of stories here that I may not agree with but that doesn’t mean they wont be published. There are a lot of people from all sorts of backgrounds and belief systems who are interested in the paranormal or have even had encounters with it. Hopefully this website will continue to grow into a balanced collection of stories and information from different viewpoints and perspectives.

My religion means that of course I disagree with deliberate contact with Demons and Satanism, as evil is something to be avoided- but what could possibly anger you about Christianity and the Bible- a religion which preches peace, love, and care for others?
That’s just it. There has been NO love, NO peace and NO caring here. Just ABUSE. I see more HATRED done on the name of Christianity then love, its sad. I have a few decent Christian friends that I’ve made and its NOT fair for the good ones to be lumped with the bad ones.

Sheepy from my researches into the occult world. Brownies are said to be helpful nature or elemental spirits similar to elves, goblins or the little of people of Ireland i.e. leprechauns. The Greeks called some of these elemental spirits daemons and venerated these spirits. One way to worship these elemental spirits is by offering them food or drink offerings which is common in pagan rituals.
I believe that Brownies, elves, goblins and gnomes are demons and here are my reasons.
Sharon Osborne, the wife of former Black Sabbath leader Ozzy Osbourne in an interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 on November 6, 2002 stated plainly that her husband had “a demon” inside of him. She further stated in the interview that her husband had ‘little people’ living in his head. But wasnt Ozzy also well known for his drug and drinking abuse?? He also has supposedly admitted (his wife too) that the types of drugs he abused are commonly known to cause paranoia and hallucinations. I dont know but i would not take what was said literally. If all has that has been said about him has any truth to it (as far as his abuses are concerned) I would choose a better candidate to base my opinions on. Thats just my take on it.

Thank you for posting this, K. Smith. Most people, even some Christians, are offended with the news that the “invisible” is real. It is true that demons are real. Those who have seen, felt, smelled, etc. know this. Yes, it’s true that demons can give you extraodinary powers and whatnot, but in the end, you will be destroyed by them. There is no life in anything other than the Life (Jesus Christ). Period.
And, the Satanist “holiday” Black Sabbath is where Satanists gather about and utterly desecrate the name, and anything else they can get their hands upon, of Jesus Christ.
In today’s world, symbols/names/etc (i.e. the pentegram, Black Sabbath) are thrown around, or disguised… and, without looking closely at an object, one cannot tell that it has unGodly symbols upon them. BE CAREFUL!!! Names and symbols DO mean something. Tattoo a cross on your arm, you have been marked by anyone who sees it that you are a Christian [whether you are or not]. When you tattoo, or draw, a pentegram on your arm (or anywhere else on you), you have marked yourself as one of Satan’s servants and will remain as such until you REMOVE that mark/symbol completely!

For those who are not of Jesus Christ: there is freedom. You can get free. Anyone who calls upon Jesus Christ will be saved. Turn to the Truth and be set free! I gotta put my 2 cents in…why are some so violently opposed to this article? Like it’s a personal attack or something…this post is about the paranormal, and like it or hate it the Bible is one of the oldest commonly known sources for information about demons…demonic possession, and excorcism….
I am not a church goer, but I do know that in the Bible Christ gives all people the right to use his name to expel demons.
As for the posts about drugs/Ozzy, energetically drugs, alcohol and a handful of other things weaken your will and energy field (Hand’s of Light, Barabar Brennan) making you susecptable to anyting attaching to and sucking from your energy field…in the same way they weaken it against attacks from living human predators as well (Roofies, nuff said).

I am a ‘big’ fan of the early Black Sabbath with Ozzy – If you were to actually listen to the words of the songs you would find that Ozzy was NOT a devil worshiper. He did not advocate satanism. When I was a kid I often heard adults at the time saying Ozzy is a devil worshiper and he is brainwashing all the kids to do the same. Even at that time I knew they were wrong and that they had not actually taken the time to listen to the words of the songs. The looked at the name and the appearance of the band and went on from there.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about organized religion. Personally I believe in some ‘higher power’ but I absolutely do not believe in organized religion. The bible itself even speaks against denominations! Yet so many of those who ‘follow’ it organize themselves into exclusive denominations.

I do healing work/bodywork, so I am hands on in the energy field of lots of different bodies…as my job…and I am also trained in energy work…if you are at all sensative…a few weeks ago a heroine addict came into where I work, it was a challenge to even be in the room with her…so dark, so dead, just a gray energy…really sad.

Another time I worked at a place where alot of “dark” people came in…dark is all I can say, professionals, well to do business people, but their energy was close to their bodies and just dark gray/black….as I was working on this one man I clearly, as clear as I hear the TV in the next room, heard a voice say “This person is a satanist, and engages in human sacrafice…BE CAREFUL” I didn’t work there very long after that….

I think writers of most of the gospel songs are very musically talented but that doesn’t mean they are/were knowledgeable about the Bible. In fact a lot of songwriters who write those songs are far from Christian. Songwriting is just a job to a great many. Even Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash recorded some gospel songs

I understand your belief about the Bible, I was raised in a Pentecostal home and have read, re-read, and thoroughly studied the Bible in light of the original languages. But it is not all dark and evil outside. There are both good and bad in everything especially when human beings are involved.
You can find very sincere good hearted people who would do just about anything they could to help you both in and outside of the “church”. You will also find liars, cheaters and back stabbers both in and outside of the “church”.

No they are not all the same in their beliefs and being a rock musician does not preclude a belief in God or the Bible. You would do well to get out your message about demons without alienating people who have done a lot of reading and are aware that Ozzy was not a devil worshiper. That causes people to doubt your entire treatise. If you think about it you know that isn’t what you want. If you want to reach the ‘people’ and have them listen then they need to feel that you are being real and honest. But if you really read up on them and what was going on and separate the PR and gossip you would find that they are all human beings with very widely varied backgrounds and beliefs. Firstly, this site deals with the supernatural and devoted Christian like myself was given authority by Jesus over Satan and his demonic hosts i.e. devils or whatever you want to call them.

Secondly, You need to read the bible again. The Bible DOES NOT tell you to stay away from All things supernatural. The bible states that you are to stay away from Satan, demonic spirits, idolatry, fornication, astrology, witchcraft, sorcery and black magic etc

I will end by saying that my God is spirit and he created the supernatural or spirit world where Satan and his demonic hosts reside. Unfortunately, the physical and spirit worlds collide daily and a violent conflict is the result. We can all see from the stories submitted by people on this site that a spiritual war is indeed going on. I have read many submissions on this site where demons leave a person alone when they call on Jesus or command the demons to leave in Jesus name. Now why is that?
K Smith – I am actually glad to see you commenting. I wouldn’t want you to stop doing what you feel to do just because I may disagree with some points. I believe disagreements can be healthy and productive as long as tempers don’t get in the way. We all have our opinions, and in my case i feel that as far as some good old rock and roll music is concerned, Black Sabboth, Ozzy, in fact i named my last dog after him. alice cooper, kiss, metalica, and so on, those guys have madae tones of money, ya know why?? because they put on a good show, an act, they are actors!!!! When I was a kid I was taught that any music that wasn’t “gospel” was of the devil. As I grew I realized on my own that it wasn’t like that at all. I am sure I could come up with a comparable list of quotes, also by “evil” rock musicians that would read right on the golden rules.
The error comes in when you select a list of people and then go on to select a quote from each of them you can demonstrate nearly anything you like. One could give a list of different quotes from these exact same people and demonstrate almost anything else we want to. The error comes in when you select a handful of “representatives” of any group and then judge or describe all in that group to be the same. Even if you found several musicians who were in fact Satanists, well that still wouldn’t mean that all rock and roll…… I am sure most everyone is aware that there are good and bad and everything in between in all groups.
The funny things that happen when folks judge something they don’t know (especially when there are PR people and cameras!) I myself was once accused of being into witchcraft just because I was wearing an Ankh pendant!

Ok…. I’m still kind of speechless from reading all this, but I’ll try to put my thoughts in order.
I was raised Christian (non-denominational), and I’m 27 years old. I’m definitely not a religious fanatic, however I do have my beliefs that stem from the way I was raised. I also have my beliefs that stem from what I’ve seen and heard. I believe drugs can open a portal much like a Ouija board (never used one, thankfully). They can open you up to all sorts of unwanted feelings, experiences, etc. I’m also not convinced that a lot of things deemed “mental illness” aren’t some form of demonic possesion. My aunt, for example, was heavily involved with witchcraft years ago. She might still be practicing, but I don’t know. She displays the textbook symptoms of soooooo many forms of mental illness. Bi-polar, skitzoprenia, etc. Not to mention she is mean, angry, and so spiteful. I believe she may have some sort of possesion, considering she’s on perscriptions that don’t seem to change a thing.
Charles Manson, he used drugs as a way to manipulate his followers. I’m convinced he was posessed! Just look at his eyes! Plus the atrocities that fell on those poor people that his people killed. There’s no way mental illness was the only reason for that. I also believe we all have our own personal demons, no matter how religious you are or aren’t. The devil/ demons/ satan, whatever you want to call it will come at you any way he can. They mainly seem to attack you when your at your lowest point, whether you’re on drugs, or in some kind of depression. I suffer from depression, however I don’t believe I’m posessed. I do know however, that they’re out there, and they will do what they can to destroy you. I can’t list a whole bunch of quotes to back me up. I’m just going on what I’ve learned in my life time. Its a basic battle between good and evil, on a whole other level. I think demons can appear to you anyway they choose, animal, stranger, even a loved one. I saw a cat in my aunts apartment in Washington DC when I was very young. I brought it to her attention, when I did she said it was her cat who had died, but still comes to visit. Ghost cat, fine.
My beliefs on the paranormal, such as ghosts are all over the board. I don’t know what to believe, honestly. I’ve had things happen, without explaination. But considering I saw this cat in HER apartment, I’m more inclined to think it was something else. My aunt has always kind of been “special” when it came to these things. One night (when my mom was little), my grandmother, mom, and aunt were all sleeping in the same room. My g’ma woke up to seeing an extremely tall creature, with the head of a doberman (almost like the dog was standing on its hind legs) speaking to my aunt in some language that my g’ma didn’t recognize, my aunt who was still sound asleep was answering this thing back in the same language. I genuinely don’t think its a coincidence that she is the way she is today. There’s many many more stories my mom has told me regarding similar events.
God and the devil are very real. You can’t have demons, devils, etc, who represent evil and destruction. You have to have the opposite to counteract the other. Everyone sins, no matter how “religous” you think you are, its gonna happen. So demonic possesion can’t be limited to drug users and sinners. Even Christians can be attacked. I think what the original poster said holds true, even if it does seem extreme.
As for the Ozzy and Brian Wilson conversation, I can’t give a real opinion on that either way. I do kinda feel like if you advertise that you’re into that kind of stuff, you kind of open yourself up to it in a way. Oh, and the bat incident, didn’t Ozzy not know the thing was real? I could have that wrong, but I could’ve sworn that’s what I heard. I love this website, I love the stories and even some of the opinions that are given on here.

i went to you tube today and looked up demons etc. of coarse you can’t tell what real and what’s not. i found some of the pictures and videos both frightening and laughable. it seems alot of these are from europe mainly italy by catholics. i’ve seen a few that you wonder how they could be fake. you just never know what lurks in dark basements behind closed doors.
If you believe in the paranormal, then you have to believe in either God or the devil…or both, as it all goes all hand in hand…the paranormal cannot exist if the devil or God wasn’t there to create all this. So why is this article so unbelievable?

i wonder what causes a person’s spirit or life force or energy, whatever you call it to come back as a “ghost. i don’t want to say it is either god or the devil. i would rather think it was the strength of the persons energy that does. if they have a need to come back to this plane then they do and they are everywhere. some will never experience paranormal or they do and miss it. i would like to be able to travel between. but that’s just me. i don’t think in our life times we will be able to find the truth, but someday they will find the evidence to support it all.
Its questions like that which have me so interested in the subject. Why ghosts? What I was pretty much raised to believe was, either ghosts were fairytale creatures meant to scare little kids, or they weren’t ghosts but some sort of demonic presence. Now with things that I’ve seen, read, and heard you can totally rule out the first one. The second I tend to doubt just because it doesn’t fit. In Christian faith your raised to believe that you die and immediately go to heaven or go to hell…. if that’s the case, then why are there ghosts? Could it be that heaven and/ or hell is here on earth in some other dimension? What made a person’s energy so strong that it stayed instead of crossing over? Another possibility I’ve thought of is maybe we’re not supposed to go to heaven or hell right away. Maybe earth is like the “in between”, until the “rapture” that’s mentioned in the bible. Some spirits are stronger than others, and that’s why we can still see (or hear, feel, etc) some of them. So many questions, so many possibilites, and I don’t think any of us will actually know until we die ourselves. Which sucks, by the way! I’d like to know now!

The next time someone says that to you ask them “Show it to me. Where does it say that in the Bible?” They will not be able to show it to you because it is not there. Unfortunately the same is true for a lot of what ‘they’ teach in church – much of it doesnt even show up in the Bible (just man made traditions and doctrines)

I worked recently on a Muslim man, who told me he was one of the few from his small village that could actually read the Koran….he was disgusted by the way the Koran is distorted and twisted by those who can read, and those who cannot, just have to take it as it is taught….
He said he tried to tell his parents…”That’s not what Muhammed was teaching”…of course, since they can’t read it for themselves, they believed the religious leader, who had been lying to them for most of their lives…..not their son, who can clearly show them the words….

This is the same thing with the Holy Bible when the teaching and the Words of God is twisted by a priest. I grew up a Catholic without knowing single verse from the Bible.
I came to understand the Word of God and learned it through His missionary from the other Religion. This is the same thing with some Muslim people. The only difference is, in Catholic, we were taught of compassion and love which seems not teach well to some Muslim. I am sorry to say but this is the fact.
Anyway, I am thankful to those Missionary uses by God because now I have learned a lot from His Words. I got converted year 1986 and that is my second birth with Christ in my heart.

Magic is NOT bad and does NOT lead you to contact with demons. Summoning demons leads you to contact with demons. There IS a difference. Magic only becomes dangerous when you DON’T KNOW what you are doing. This is why we help and guide people, so they don’t do something dangerous.
Warlocks are NOT magick users. That came about when men didn’t want to be called witches and when Hollywood made the movies and slapped the title Warlock on it.

Mmmm…this is an interesting piece but there are a few points I want to make. One, you can’t simply write people off as being possessed by the devil / demons and ignore drug abuse or mental illnesses. We still do not fully understand how the human brain and mind function. Two, how do you know what all demons look or smell like? As incorporeal entities with supernatural abilities these things would be incredibly varied as well as most likely be able to change at will. Lastly, you say that demons are also known as Troglodytes. Troglodytes by definition are people who dwell in caves or are reclusive or are primitive, i was unaware that ancient man were in fact demons. haha sorry that last one was a bit sarcastic but still by your definiation our acient ancestors were demons which i find hard to believe.
Pat, firstly, from a christian perspective, I know how demons look because of the bible. It gives a clear description on how Satan and his fallen angels look. Satan was described as a giant red seven headed serpent. Leviathan, another fallen angel was described by God as being a scaly serpent. And the book of Revelations describes three evil spirits as looking like frogs.
REVELATIONS 20:2 – And he laid hold on the dragon, that OLD SERPENT, which is the devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.
REVELATION 16:13 -And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
“In Loveland, Ohio, along the Miami River, reports of more or less reptilian bipeds have been made since at least 1955, when a driver reported spotting three grotesque-looking creatures with lopsided chests, wide, lipless, froglike mouths, and wrinkles rather than hair on their heads. One should also take into account the eye witness descriptions of people who invoked or seen demons to manifest. Demon descriptions vary from 10ft to 3ft tall, they have been described as smelling awful like sulfur or rottening eggs and having glowing red or yellow eyes, claws for fingers and reptilian or scaly skin. Demon can take any form including human.

One: Demons are entities, creatures NOT from hell because there is NO hell. They are from another realm. They are billions of times worse than what is babbled about in the bible.
Two: Demons do NOT feed on actual emotions, they feed on the psychic energy given off by people with these abilities. They wear you done by relentless attacks, antagonozing a demon is one of the most stupidist things to do.
Three: Ouija Boards are porals for demons. No good magick user would ever play with one unless they were young and knew nothing about them. (Yes, I refer to myself here because of my family being all magick users they never discussed the board so I knew nothing and “played” with one. I learned my lesson)
Four: Demons do posess people, but NOT just anyone. The person must have a lot of psychic ability, they do NOT go after people with no abilities. Its pointless, they will get nothing from them. They want psychic powerfully people for a reason, and if posessing them to get them to their realm is what it takes so be it. However, they want to leash and collar the people with abilities not posess them. They want to control their abilities, so this is why demons are attracted to magick users. REPLY…….The book sits in my bookshelf. It is an excellent read and very informative about the Catholic Church and the complex idolatrous worship of ancient civilizations.
For one thing not all pagans are the same. “Pagan” was not a religion and those who have been classified as pagan fall into many different categories as far as beliefs and practices go. For the most part pagans do not believe in a God or even a Devil but as I say there are many differences in beliefs.
Remember, the “church” started using that term to describe any and all who would not convert to Catholicism. The church ‘demonized’ these people and through propaganda and time they convinced most of the general public that pagans were devil worshipers. When it all boils down it was really just a good old fashioned smear campaign.
Again, although we differ on some concepts I think we are actually in agreement more than not.

I don’t need infinite knowledge to prove God’s existence unlike some who need to produce empirical evidence that he does not exist. How do I prove God’s existence, I can do this by showing that Jesus existed. Christianity is based on the doctrine that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.

When archaeologists from around the world descended upon the Middle East like locusts they unearthed volumes of artifacts such as bulls, seals and steles belonging to persons ONLY mentioned in the bible. These artifacts alone proved the validity of the Bible.

The bible states that God manifested in the flesh in the form of Jesus and lived among men. Judaism also taught that the God would manifest in the flesh.
Isaiah 9:6 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: AND HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Historical writers such as Cornelius Tacitus, Roman historian Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus, Josephus, the Greek historians Thallus and Celsus, a 2nd Century Greek philosopher and opponent of Christianity all wrote about Jesus. Thus confirming that he was a living person.
There is also Pliny the younger, a Roman Governor in Bithynia or present day Turkey that wrote a letter around 111 or 112 AD, to Emperor Trajan of Rome asking for advice on how to deal with Christians. Pliny also wrote about Jesus’ death in Book X of his Epistles.(Plinius Secundus, Epistles, X.96.)
Roman Historian Cornelius Tacitus who lived circa 56-120 AD wrote about Christus as he called Jesus in his book the “Annals” Book XV, Chapter 44. Tacitus mentions that Christus was convicted by Pontius Pilate during Tiberius’ reign:
“…..auctor nominis eius Christus Tiberio imperitante per procuratorem Pontium Pilatum supplicio adfectus erat.” Tacitus, Annales 15.44.

“Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…”
Jesus lived during the time that ancient Roman Empire controlled vast amounts of land. Hence it is not surprising that Roman Historians Suetonius who was secretary and historian to Hadrian, Emperor of Rome from 117 to 138 AD mentioned Jesus.
Suetonius wrote that after the Riot in Rome in 49AD, Emperor Claudius expelled some Jews over their Chrestus or Christ. In his work “Life of the Emperor Claudius” Seutonius wrote that some denied the gods of Greece and worshipped a crucified sage.
“As the Jews were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus [Christ], he [Claudius] expelled them from Rome. Suetonius, Life of Claudius, 25.4. See also, McDowell, New Evidence that Demands a Verdict, 121-122.

Concerning the great fire of Rome in 64 AD, this Roman historian wrote that the Emperor Nero punished the Christians.
Punishment by Nero was inflicted on the Christians, a class of men given to a new and mischievous superstition. Suetonius, Lives of the Caesars, 26.2.
Sextus Julius Africanus, a Christian traveler and historian of the late 2nd and early 3rd century was a celebrated orator during the reign of Nero. In his writings he quoted Thallus another Roman historian, who wrote about in 52 A.D. about the miraculous happenings the day the Son of God was killed.
He wrote: “On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down”.
Before Tacitus, Suetonius or Josephus, Thallus wrote about the crucifixion of Jesus. His writing date to circa 52 A.D. and the passage on Jesus was contained in Thallus’ work on the Eastern Mediterranean world from the Trojan War to 52 A.D. Thallus noted that darkness fell on the land at the time of the crucifixion. He wrote that such a phenomenon was caused by an eclipse. Though Christ was not proclaimed a deity until the fourth century, Pliny the Younger, a Roman author and administrator who served as the governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor, wrote in 112 A.D., two hundred years before the “deity” proclamation, that Christians in Bithynia worshipped Christ. http://www.sonic.net/sentinel/naij3.html
An opponent of Christianity, Celsus a 2nd century Greek philosopher also acknowledged the existence of Jesus. Celsus wrote the following:-
“First, however, I must deal with the matter of Jesus, the so-called savior, who not long ago taught new doctrines and was thought to be a son of God. This savior, I shall attempt to show, deceived many and caused them to accept a form of belief harmful to the well-being of mankind. Taking its root in the lower classes, the religion continues to spread among the vulgar: nay, one can even say it spreads because of its vulgarity and the illiteracy of its adherents. And while there are a few moderate, reasonable, and intelligent people who interpret its beliefs allegorically, yet it thrives in its purer form among the ignorant.” (Celsus, “True Discourse,” Celsus, on the True Doctrine: A Discourse Against the Christians, R. Joseph Hoffmann, ed., New York: Oxford University Press, 1987, p. 57.)
In 70 AD Mara Bar-Serapion, a philosopher from Syria wrote the following letter to his son from prison about Jesus whom he called “A Wise King”. One can see from the letter that Serapion is not a Christian because he considers Jesus, Socrates and Plato all as teachers.
What advantage did the Athenians gain from putting Socrates to death? Famine and plague came upon them as a judgment for their crime. What advantage did the men of Samos gain from burning Pythagoras? In a moment their land was covered with sand. What advantage did the Jews gain from their executing their wise king? It was just after that that their kingdom was abolished. God justly avenged these three wise men: The Athenians died of hunger; the Samians were overwhelmed by the sea; the Jews, ruined and driven from their land, live in complete dispersion. But Socrates did not die for good; he lived on in the statue of Plato. Pythagoras did not die for good; he lived on in the statue of Hera. An antagonist of Christianity Lucian of Samosata a 2nd century Greek philosopher wrote a very critical letter about Jesus whom he called a crucified sage, never the less it supports the biblical account of Jesus Christ.
The Christians, you know, worship a man to this day — the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account… You see, these misguided creatures started with the general conviction that they are immortal for all time, which explains the contempt of death and voluntary self-devotion which are so common among them; and then it was impressed them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws. All this they take quite on faith, with the result that they despise all worldly goods alike, regarding them merely as common property. Flavius Josephus was born in Jerusalem 37 A.D. He was a historian who lived from 37 A.D. to about 100 A.D. He was a member of the priestly aristocracy of the Jews who was an was an excellent historian that wrote The Jewish War, The Jewish Antiquities also wrote the following about Jesus in his Antiquities (18:63), while writing for the Romans:
“About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who wrought surprising feats and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Messiah. When Pilate, upon hearing him accused by men of the highest standing among us, had condemned him to be crucified, those who had in the first place come to love him did not cease. On the third day he appeared to them restored to life. For the prophets of God had prophesied these and myriads of other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of the Christians, so called after him, has still up to now, not disappeared. (This above passage is known as the Testimonium Flavianum. The “Testimonium” is found in every copy of Jesusphus in existence.
In Flavius Josephus book 20.200, he wrote an interesting snippet describing the murder of Jesus’ brother, James, at the hands of Ananus, the High Priest who illegally convened the Sanhedrin, the highest Jewish religious court. Ananus then accused Jesus’ brother James of having transgressed the law, and sentenced him to death by stoning.
GALATIANS 1:19 – But other apostles saw I none, save JAMES the Lord’s brother.

It takes much more than evidence to be proof. Can you really prove that God exists? If that could be proven then there would no longer even be a question and they would even teach it in schools! Remember that for something to be proof it must be reproducible, undeniable and knowable to all. No one can deny that gravity exists for we can all see it in action and prove it in practice.
How could the existence of Christ be proof of God to an Aborigine? or a Hindu? or a Jew? (We are not all the same in our beliefs and backgrounds on this planet

Priestess I understand what you are saying. I just hope that K and anyone else who reads this can learn some things. I am not pagan nor have I ever considered myself to be pagan BUT I cannot stand by and allow someone to completely misrepresent (or misunderstand) them. I know there are many out there who equate Wiccans or Pagans with devil worshiping or evil but that is completely wrong.
Caretaker: Yes, I agree. I have NO issues with anyone of any belief until they attack me. I disagreed with her and all of a sudden i’m a baby killer who sacrifices to my deities? NOPE so WRONG. The only thing that can be learned here is that it seems many christians have nothing but hatred for non christians. A Christian (in my opinion) should try to get their message out from a standpoint of love and concern and not by belittling and insulting others. I understand that you may think you are 100% correct and everyone else is wrong but you have to realize that we are all different people with different beliefs and backgrounds. I can very honestly say that of all the people I have known in the past bunch of decades, if even briefly, none of them would think I was a ‘child of Satan’ and I am certain my friends and family would find that funny if not insulting. I was not offended or upset about it. A man once asked Richard Nixon if he had made him mad by what he had said. Nixon laughed and sort of shook his head and said “No, I’m not mad at you,” he paused then went on, “I can only be angry with someone I respect.” Putting labels on people and making grand judgments about people you dont even know, and insulting folks…. Well that is no way to gain respect and the same goes for the sidewalk it’s not just the net – you cant do people that way and expect them to listen or respect you. I keep asking myself the familiar question “What Would Jesus Do?” I am confident that he would never have called me a child of Satan or Priestess a baby killer. Coming from a person who has no specidic belief, i think i can be reletively unbiased by giving some info. In saying that, i see some problems with this article.
First of all, most of the creatures you mention are NOT demons. For instance, elves and fairies were almost always considered to be devine beings who co-exist with the angels. In actuality, the idea that they are demons is a misconception. The pagan Tuatha Dé Danann are often misidentified as elves, knockers, leperchauns and fairies but were actually believed to be Goddesses and Gods. Spirits are supernatural beings between mortals and gods, such as ghosts of dead heroes. Goblins are more of a spirit (not demonic) and brownies are benevolent creatures that help out around the house in exchange for a small gift, usually porridge and honey. Etins are spirits (once again, not demonic). Troglodytes are simply not anything supernatural but is a description of a simple or “backwards” person. Trolls and Trows are a species of elf (also, not demonic). Many of these creatures may be considered mischievous but mischief is just an annoying action, far from being demonic. So, these beings are simply not demonic. Case closed.

Compare the actions of the Catholic Crusades to Jesus teachings. Anyone Catholic or Protestant that kills in the name of God is NOT a servant of the living God.

A Witch does NOT SERVE GOD. Witches reject God. In the bible the Witch at Endor called on her FAMILIAR SPIRIT i.e. DEMONIC SPIRIT to aid her.
Demonic spirits are fallen angels that were cast out of heaven down to earth for rejecting God. It is these evil powerful fallen angels that give witches, sorcerers, psychics and necromancers etc their powers. If the proper rituals, incantations, spells and invocations are done these demonic spirits can be summoned.

ORIGINS OF WICCA
The fact that Aleister Crowley who was called the wickedest man on earth is closely associated with Modern Wicca through Gerald Gardner casts a dark shadow over the whole thing. It was said that Crowley helped Gardner establish MODERN WICCA. Doreen Valiente a closet associate of Gardner stated that the Book of Shadows were heavily influenced by Crowley and O.T.O
From Crowley’s own writing we know that he was into molesting and killing children, eating the feces of his mistress Leah Hirsig, and other abominations. Gerald Gardner was just as wicked as Crowley and liked being flagellated or whipped. He also practiced his rituals “sky clad” or nude.

Hmmmm….hello K. Smith. I’m the author of one of those articles that Caretaker put the link for. I noticed you put the links for sites with a “Christian perspective”. In my research, I came across several of those sites you mentioned.
Three guesses why those sites were NOT used as sources for the article I wrote….and the first two don’t count!
I am a Christian. I put my heart, soul, and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is through Him that I am able to look at what you’re writing and see it for the hate mongering that it is. You need to wake up to the fact that Christians have been using propaganda for CENTURIES for THEIR AGENDA….not God’s. These names “witch”…”sorcerer” ….”pagan”…these are NOT WORDS OF GOD! They are words MANKIND gave for what they didn’t understand. I don’t care if they say it was quoted by Jesus Christ Himself…because our Lord and Savior has been misquoted a LOT!!

scarygirl 67, give us some bible verses that have love and kindness. tell us about the miracles in the bible. i may not believe alot, but i love the human stories. tell about daniel, and ruth. i want to hear about the good guys. not all the sacrifies and brim stone and fire. i guess if you have a negative attitude on life and your fellow man, then use can use the bible as a weapon!!
