Ok, So I have decided to share my story, in the hopes that maybe someone will know what to do and share their opinions.This experience is 100% true, nothing altered out of my imagination, no lies. This happened on a Saturday, on September 26. I live in a single apartment with my husband and my two year old son.
So at around 1:45 am, my husband and I were still awake, me son was in my mother’s house, so we were watching TV, and out of the corner of my eye I saw what appeared to be a man so I turned around, and sure enough, there was a man standing there in the door of the restroom. I started freaking out, and I told my husband that there was someone in there, so he turned the lights on and started looking for an intruder, but saw no one. I could see the man just standing there and he started to talk, I don’t know how it happened but I fell into a sort of “trance”, I could clearly hear everything he was telling me.
He started off by saying that he was killed there in 1895 and he didn’t like anyone living there because he was still waiting for his family. My husband was just looking at me and asking me things and I could hear the man reply to his questions. So he started saying that he wanted his family to come back. It was a weird experience, because I could see how he got killed, a friend of the family shot him in the chest.
I live on the second floor, the first floor is garage, and right underneath my apartment I park my car, So he told me that his body was buried right underneath my car. My husband told me to tell him he has to believe in god, and he replied I don’t believe in anything, and he started saying that he never liked my husband living there, and when my husband would not be there, he would always be there with me and my son.
He mentioned that he had never been seen before except my son and another little girl that used to live there before, and he said he always talks to my son, but my son doesn’t seem to understand what he tries to say. Well, needless to say, we got pretty scared and left for my mom’s house, we just felt uneasy. Before I walked out the door he told me that I would forget my keys, and that I was going to come back.
By the time we got to my mom’s house, I had forgotten my keys and I remembered what he said, but I didn’t want to go back over there. But we eventually went back, and I had about two or three experiences after that, I do not feel threatened by him however, my husband can’t sleep at night and every time he passes the spot where I saw the man, he gets goosebumps.
About three days ago, my husband could not sleep so he was watching TV, and he just drifted off. He woke me up about an hour after, and asked me if I had turned the TV off, and I said no, so he got freaked and so did I. And ever since that day, he doesn’t want to go back to the apartment, we have been staying with my mom and we will be moving in this month, but I sincerely think that the man in my house is not threatening. I feel safe, like protected with him there, but my husband doesn’t see it that way. Maybe he needs help or some kind of closure, but I don’t know what I can do to help him.
If anyone has ideas or suggestions, please let me know. The only way I know his name is because I saw him in a dream, and he told me his name was Daniel. Since I still have one month left in that apartment my husband and I decided to set up a camera and I want to go in there and try to record some EVP’s or something and I will keep everyone posted, but if anyone else has any ideas please let me know. I don’t know what to say. Maybe telling him that his family had passed on to the light with God and he should do the same if he wants to be with his family. I’ll be waiting for any results you will have with your research. Keep me posted and sorry I couldn’t help you much. I feel as though when you are alone with your son he feels the need to protect you and your son, he must of been a good husband and father as long as he doesn’t threaten anyone in your home that is whats important. u should try and explain a lil bout how life and death works and his family is waiting for him on the other side so if he wants to see them he must beleave.

Well, if he was murdered then it’s possible that the person who did it never got caught. That would explain his body in your garage. If I was you I would go look up your apartments history and see if someone named Daniel lived there in 1895.
Then you will know if it’s actually a person spirit or something darker.
Well from what he told me, he was murdered by a family friend and was buried there, and apparently he went missing and the family never found him, so they moved away im thinking from the pain of losing him, and so he’s still waiting for his family to come back. He coul’d not have been more than 20 years old, he was so young, and now that I am moving every time I go alone I just have a feeling of sadness, like depression, he knows I am leaving. And I do feel bad, I’m not afraid of him at all, and When he says he has talked to my son, he has never scared him in any way or my son would have told me, I just see my son sometimes having a friendly conversation. Now that pretty much all my furniture is gone and I still have the whole month of October Im setting up the camera and the EVP’s. I will definitely keep everyone posted. I will be going to the library this weekend to find out about that year and my address, thanks for the suggestion Jamie, and thank you all for your comments.
I’m sorry I messed up on the other comment, apparently the family thought he went missing and after waiting for him to come back, they decided to move far away. I get the feeling since he was killed there, his soul is trapped there and he needs some sort of closure or help. I feel very bad for leaving without being able to help him but i’m pretty sure if I go to the police with this story they will think I am crazy. has any thing happend to u Gina like any thing paranormal because i just want to read some stories i was gonna write a story on what happened to me but im to scared to and its a little bit sad .
This is so sad. I feel so sad for him! I agree that he needs your help in understanding that he needs to move on. I don’t know how to do it, but there seems to be a lot of good suggestions here. I’ll pray for him, too. I can’t imagine how lonely he must feel. I hear time is only a concept in our world but jeez… can you imagine waiting that long for your family to come home? It makes me want to cry! I understand having to leave and feeling bad for leaving him. I left a little girl in my old house. It’s hard. But all we can do is try to help. We are not responsible – as sad as that sounds.

a ghost is usually lonely without living people understanding.
A ghost can be stupid, stubborn and obsessed.
Even if you tell him the year is 2009, compared to 1895, it doesn’t understand.
You have to tell simply that it is 114 years later, his wife will have been dead.
How old was his child the time he died? If his child was 3, now 117 years old, would also be dead.
Their souls has already moved on, and not on this world any more.
What’s left behind will only be his grand or grand grand children if he has any.
Tell him to move on and follow the very bright light, his duty and worry as being a husband and father on earth is already finished.
Even if he tells you his surname, and you can locate his family tree from the computer,
it would not be easy for his descendants to accept and understand the truth of a ghost ancestor still exists.
So I wish you could treat this as a good deed by helping a poor soul to cross over.
That is sad…….for him. I think you have the right idea. And being that this murder took place so long ago, going to the cops today probably would not be the best idea. Find out the story of Daniel and his disappearance and I think that once you know how circumstances happened, the answer will come. Do let us know what happens. Take care!

I read somewhere that there is a light that appears and stays within 72 hours of your death, growing smaller… this lady was a medium and that’s what she would see. She said most people watch their own funerals and then depart. If he could get out of his house, he could go to the nearest funeral home and also pass through the same light. Or maybe a cemetery. but he seems stuck in the home. he doesn’t seem to realize that he can in fact leave. I forget the author”s name and that bothers me, lol. google on the internet how to create the light for him with your mind, visualization as someone mentioned above works….

I am completely awed by the number of people here who “know” what to tell this ghost? to do !
This ghost? is how old, including the age when he was killed ? I would calculate at least 134 years old. So, my point is… that this would be the same as a child giving their great-great grandparent advice.
If someone, as a flesh and blood person, told me to believe in God, the bunny rabbit or little green men on Mars, I would take offense as would about 99 percent of the people posting here. Humans, alive, do not like to be told who or what to believe in.
So a person who is deceased and has become a ghost would probably be of the same mind set.
If this is truly a ghost and not a demon, he would have to know whether God exists or not and also does not need to be told what to do. He has truly been around the block more than a few times.

So what do you suggest about the ghost? He should just stay there until the earth is no longer in standing in good health. I was just suggesting that something has to be done to help him cross over that is all. After so many years and no one has been able to help him cross over. Tonja what would of you done if he was in your house? Ignore him!

I truly believe that spirits come to a person because they are in need of help, and me asking for other people who know of ways to help a spirit move on is my way of trying to help him. If you don’t believe any of this thats fine, I don’t care. I do believe he needs help to move on and I also believe that if there is any way that I can help him, I woul’d do it. Spirits need guidance as well, I am not trying to tell him in any way what to do or who to believe in. But thanks for your comment.

I agree with you if you can help him cross over that would be great for you and for him. He waited so long to have somone help him cross over and you have the heart for it so good luck and let me know what happens. I also hope you can help him in anyway you can. lol
Camila, I meant to say in my previous post that a possible reason this ghost? took a dislike to your husband was because your husband, as you stated in your story, told you to tell the ghost? to believe in God.
And as for Child Like Says, if no one in all this time, as you have stated in your post, has been able to help this spirit “cross over,” what makes you think it can be done?
The spirit, ghost, entity, whatever… is what it is. He is DEAD and his problems are NONE. He no longer has to worry about working from paycheck to paycheck or losing his job. He is not afflicted with hunger, being cold, being tired, being homeless, wondering where will his next meal come from, worrying about the health of any loved one he ever had ( they are all dead now ), watching a loved one die or burying a loved one. He will never be afflicted with old age and arthritis. He no longer has a death sentence hanging over his head like the LIVING, and therefore should be much, much happier now… talk about STRESS reduction !
Should I go on ?
WE the living have problems, not the dead. We should be striving to help those that are alive and need food, medical attention and shelter.

If possible you could try to find out what happened to his family, court house records,
your local library archives, newspaper archives, etc.
If you could find out where his family is that might help him.If he would tell you their names it would be helpful.Since he was murdered in the house/on the grounds of where you now live, he is stuck there.
If you could find a priest, minister, physic, or someone who would assist you, you
could help him find his family on the other side.
I take it that the area you park in must be cemented over, so, his remains, if there
are any, are encased.
It would be a great action on your families part to try to get him to join his family.
You may be able to do it with a prayer circle of your friends and family who are
willing to participate.
This would not be an expensive operation, you would only need some white candels,
and a bible. Holding hands and praying for his soul to go to his family would not
be any expense incurred. Just thought, time, effort and prayer.
I don’t think I would like to live there with him, either, but, I don’t think I could leave him
“waiting” for his family to return. Especially when you know that over 100 years
has passed since his untimely demise. He chose you to speak to about his situation
so maybe you are the person in this dimension to help him get to the next one.

maybe you should go back to the house and if he is there ask him what his full name is and try to track his family down and get them to come back tothe house then maybe he will move on
as for the body burried undre the car i think you should look into that
and by the sounds of things he isnt horrible just lonely and misses his family.
he sounds really nice and when you talk to him try and find out as much info bout that year and him and his family then find them and get them to come back to the house

Just think you trapped in a room and you can’t open the door and your family is out there somewhere but cant hear you and your are trapped for years and years and you died and nobody of your family knows you are dead but you do. How do you think you would feel?

I agree with your comment, he is trapped there and he is very sad actually because his family left without even knowing he had been killed, they probably died thinking he still might be out there somewhere. And that makes me sad too, the feeling in my apartment is that of sadness and depression, you can just feel it.
Tonja, He did mention that he had never been seen before except for my son and a previous couple’s daughter, and actually I asked the owner of the building and she said that indeed, there was a couple that used to live there with a little girl and from one day to another they decided to leave. They probably got scared from what the girl said, just as my husband did, and I try to explain to him the spirit is not an evil one, it is just a lonely soul trapped in a limbo, you can say, but he is just scared out of his mind. I have no idea why the ghost dislikes my husband, but I can say that he is not the best husband in the world, and as a matter of fact he would go out and party, thats when the ghost stated that he was always there with me and my son. And I am just not afraid of him, I can be in that house alone with nothing to fear. Come on, when you are dead and ur soul is trapped there, you don’t think about not paying rent or food,etc. He is a lonely soul and well this is his third attempt to contact someone who can help him, I would just feel so bad if I at least didnt try to. This is such a sad story.. I feel so bad for daniel =( i think u should try to cross him over before u move. Tell him he is dead and unfortunetly so is his family and if he wants to be with his family he needs to walk into the light n go with God. Tell him god loves him and he will be with his family. If this dosent work then at least u know u tried id hate to think in the future u might look back and wish would have tried something. I wonder though.. If the reason he cant cross over is because his body is still barried there.. U should try to spray some holly water n say a prayer for him down there, since sadly that is were hes barried. You are a good person for wanting to help him and I hope you can and it all works out for both of you and for not liking your husband it’s like you said he isn’t a good husband like he should be and the spirit knows it. I am free this entire weekend, I don’t have to work so I will spend as much time as I can in the other apartment, see if I can make any contact with him again. I cannot feel his presence there if I am with someone, but if I go alone I know he is there.

At this point, my entire family is scared to go in there, so as for the whole prayer thing I might have to do it alone, I just hope it works! no one in my family wants to even walk into the door. Something funny, I went yesterday and was talking to my neighbor, the bathroom wall and closet are side to side with his apartment, and he said his girlfriend and him are already moving out because they started hearing things at night. We havent been living there for almost 2 weeks now but they swear they hear noise on the other side of the wall, and his girlfriend just feels uneasy there. they have been living there for about 4 months, and we have been there for 5. I think that tenants come and split right away, another one of my neighbors mentioned that everyone leaves and theres new people but he doesnt seem to be bothered he lives in the far end of the building.

I personally have never had an experience like this much as I have wanted to, but what I feel is first of all you should not park your car over what might be Daniel’s grave.Secondly as has already been suggested you should try and help him to cross over. Get all the details from him as to his full name (First and Last),his date of birth and date of death and try to search the county records. Maybe you could even try and contact a medium who could do the needful to help him cross over.
Yes, we can imagine and create a lighted passage in our mind for the ghost to cross over, but it’s still up to the decision of the ghost. Only if the ghost is ready, without the worries and hatred, can he be moving on.
As in this case, the ghost is attached to the remains of its body, that is in the house, usually people away from the house will be away from the haunting. But see if this ghost energy can be diverted to the light without removing its remains.
Since you’re extraordinary to perceive, try using your ability to make a difference and saving a soul.
However, don’t empathy too much into connecting the ghost into your own life, there are a lot of lonely ghosts out there wishing to follow someone who can understand.
No man will be willing to live under the same roof, especially there seems to be only you, the only woman to compete with.
Be ware that a ghost can easily ruin a marriage.
But in D.R.’s case is different, the souls she was dealing with were complicated, might not be her sole ability could solve the problems, as evil souls might be involved. Her walking away then might be the best choice.
If your husband is against your taking part in indulging the ghost affair any further, remember it is your husband soul, the first priority to heed.
I belive you should tell him or the ghost this exact words” you are dead now you need to move on your soul needs to be set free you may belive your not dead but you are! so go to god and be happy your saved…”

I think before they do what you suggest they need to dig up his body and bury him in a cemetery so his soul can move on. Maybe that is the reason why he is trapped in that house because his body is still there. What do you think?

I told the owner of the building the whole story and she was just completely in awe. She said she believed me, but the cost of digging in the garage would be too much, well at least if I had solid proof (?) and don’t worry stuart, I don’t park my car there anymore when I go to the apartment, I park outside on the street.

I agree with child like he needs to be discovered and burried properly. I know with the economy it would be too costly but once you do, do it you might have just solved a missing persons case! I agree! I guess a soul does have a price!!! I feel bad for the lost soul that needs help but can’t help him because of money is a concern instead of putting a man’s soul to rest and reunite with his family. I think you are very right, and if it was my house you can bet i would have been digging right after I had talked to him, but its not my property therefore, I can’t really do much that’s why I have been trying to find another way to help. The owner of the building is just a bit weird about it not wanting to really believe it, and well after all it is her property theres not really much I can do and if I had the money I would be searching and telling her I would pay for it myself.
Well, as for the cameras, I didnt really get anything but the friend that let me borrow his camera and went with me said he saw a face and got such a creepy feeling we had to get out of there he was going crazy. maybe next time I will go alone.

Contact a paranormal society that uses psychic/mediums. Don’t attempt to cross a spirit over yourself chances are you’ll make it mad. The best thing to do is leave it with someone that has previous experience DO not play with a ouija/spirit boards or hold a seance. You’re intentions are good but the consequences of not dealing with this properly could literally haunt you for the rest of your life.

I’m not being a wuss, I have mentioned that I do not feel scared or threatened by him, and he is not annoying. This isn’t really a joking matter to me, so the comment wasn’t funny. And I actually have moved out, because my husband is freaked out about the whole thing, but if it was for me I would have stayed there.
Well….its been about 3 weeks since I moved out of there, and every time I go back, he won’t show himself on camera, and he won’t talk to me. I feel his depression, he knows I am leaving and he is sad over it, but he no longer tries to communicate with me. the apt. Building was built around the 1950s, before that, when my city was established it was all farms and fields, this particular area was a field, and across the field was one of the first churches in my city. Im thinking the murderer tried to bury him close to the church. The church still stands today, right across the street from the building. I try to talk to him, but he won’t try to communicate with me like before. He feels betrayed probably that I am leaving him.

Hello its me, now I am completely moved out, the apartment was actually empty for about 2 weeks but we had certain items lying around. I got the shock of my life,bcuz my birthday was Nov.4 and our last day in the apt. Was Nov.5, so no one had been in there, and around Nov. 2 I went by to pick up more things and when I opened the outside door, I heard a little song playing, and I was like “ok what is that? There’s no more electricity in here!” so I opened the second door and started walking in slowly and I reached the middle of the room, and the thing making noise was a singing birthday card I received from a friend about 2 years ago who now lives in Mexico and I truly miss her, and I just couldn’t believe the card was wide open and with the song playing over and over…I just felt so sad. I did set up a camera when I was there and the only thing I got was the camera moving, on one take it just didn’t move at all, and then I recorded 20 mins. And the camera would move kinda up and down and it was right on the edge of the chair it should have fallen but it didn’t! Wow I got so fascinated, and u can also see movements inside the heater, which if I may add is next to the bathroom, where I saw him. I do miss him, but I honestly think now he didn’t wanna move on, I’m thinking he is aware but just wants to stay. That makes me so sad….thanks for reading!!
Oh, and I also tried some EVP’s with my phone, but that didn’t really work out I didn’t hear anything. But it has these little 5 lines that light up from 1st to 5th depending on the noise, and when I was in the spot the light would light up to number 3 then 4 then 1. Im not sure if that means anything, but it was just nice to see the lines light up as If he was there talking to me but I couldn’t hear it on the recording. I’m not sure if spirits can follow you but once I did feel him here in my new apartment, and I have dreamed about him. I know its weird. And going to the library was completely useless cause this city was established in 1908 and this incident took place 1895, I have no idea where to go for those kinds of records! I offered to show my video to the landlady but she wasn’t interested. Im pretty sure she’s scared now, and well all the neighbors know what we told them, she’s probably gonna have a hard time renting out the place! But seriously he’s not a bad spirit, he’s just lonely! And well for halloween all the neighbors wanted to go in there, I of course said no and asked them to respect the fact that he’s a trapped spirit and not something to amuse yourself with. Some people just take these things as a joke, but they’re not. If anyone has had any type of paranormal experience they would understand what im talking about.

Hey child like its been a while! Well as much as I miss him, I would rather not have him here with me! My husband gets freaked out now by any little thing, he’s traumatized cause the man told me certain things that only my husband would know! Serves him right lol. And well, I regret to say that in this house there is alsosome activity going on except now its my son that sees and talks to it as well, its a little boy. I was kinda upset when I didn’t catch him on camera but at least I got the movements of the camera! Its not much but its enough to prove something was there! Thanks for ur comment!

First of all ” Happy birth day to you ( 4 Nov.) , You may give the camera to someone who is an expert to understand these movements, you can also contact with a medium to help you if you want, I can understand your kind feeling even it was a spirit , you have certainly a sweet heart but , I Kindly remind you that you are dealing here with a spirit & it is not a toy , we should not play with fire, He told you that he does not belief in God or anything & hated your husband when he asked him the same question which reflects a very bad impression that he may be a devil. You should not go alone to your old apartement again , you could not expect what he can do, I am afraid if he can follow you to your new aparttement. You have a nice family and should keep them away from him. You may be right about what he said about my husband, but I would understand, because like I explained to child like, he is nowhere near a good husband, he was actually very distant and mean, and that’s why he disliked him, because he did state that when my husband would go out to his parties which was almost every friday and saturday he would leave me and my son alone in the apartment, and he said he was always there, kind of protecting. You know, im thinking he also got killed by a man he trusted, maybe he just doesn’t like any male figure living in his space. Those are my thoughts because never once did he say anything threatening or harming. He just turned the tv off on my husband once that was funny because he was very scared! Serves him right! And every time he would pass by that one spot where I saw him, he said his hair would just stand up on end like goosebumps all over. Im guessing he was getting a bad feeling. And well since they say ghosts or spirits feed on negative energy we did fight a lot cause of his wannabe bachelor life, im thinking that’s why the ghost was somehow protective of my son and I. I just didn’t get an evil feeling off of him, but hey you may be right! Someone left a comment like that saying maybe it was a demon trying to gain my trust! But I don’t live there anymore nov. 5 was the last day we were there. We actually had flashlights in hand as we went through to see if anything was left behind and he kept messing with my husband’s flashlight. Thanks for the birthday comment!!! Take care!!! I am so sorry to read that your husband is nowhere near a good husband, very distant & mean, I think you are very lonely, so you have a positive emotion for this spirit you also feel in your bottom that he protect you & your son. Freaked out, he didn’t really want me to look for his family, he just told me that he was waiting for them to come back, I know someone mentioned in a comment that ghosts are stubborn and well now I think they were right, because he’s still waiting for them to come back. I wish I could have done more for him but I just couldn’t. I know he’s in that apartment right now, very lonely like he has been for all these years. PS if you guys want to read more about the haunting in my new house (lol) its “toddler Haunting” there I can talk more every day about what we are living now! God bless and thanks for the comments.

You know, technology has increased quite a bit over the last few years. They no longer need to dig up the garage floor to find this man’s body. They have a scanner that can pick up objects such as human remains. (as they did when they got a tip about Jimmy Hoffa’s body being buried in Wrigley’s field) rather than dig up and entire ball field they simply scanned it for remains.
Perhaps you could contact someone in the investigation field that could tell you more about this ultra sound type machine. Just a thought.
