This just happened me today.. that’s why I looked up the situation google and came across this post. I have always got sleep paralysis since I was 12 or 13. I’m 28 now (female). My friend was killed in a car accident 2 1/2 yrs ago. I sometimes dream of him andd like to believe they are visitations.. today I started to ffall asleep on the couch. My mom was over and helping my older son with his homework I was looking at them in the diningroom from the couch and started to feel the paralysis comming over me so I jolted my body to snap out of it (I’m used to it so I know what to do).. I was ok for about 10 seconds and it came back this time I heard a voice….. and I heard him saying my name and in my head (since you can’t talk) I concentrated hard and asked inmy mind if he was really talking to me and he answered yes, it was his voice.. I too was hearing weird backround noises like a radio trying to be tuned…… I have been hosptialized for my paralysis because I actually do wake up eyes open and all, and remain parylzed.. the doctor ruled out I actually am awake and parylized not just “dreaming” I’m awake like others. I was watching my mom help my son the whole time and I can hear them in the backround to my friend. I was only able to communicate for about 35 seconds then I snapped out of it…. nver that has happened before… so weird

I sorry about your fiend. I once had a best friend he was like a borther to me we talked about everything what we believed, shared everything, It was like talking to yourself. Anyway he promised me that we will fight together in the real world and that we will finish school together, but then he had to move far away and he said ” Even though I will be far we can still communicate” “How I said” he replied “Through dreams “(which your conscience and uncoscience connect, other words you inner self)”. He said “Promise me you’ll do this”, I said “I promise”. I has been three years and we dream that we are talking to each other as if real life I say to him “How you benn” “It is great our here it is good to see you call me at 5:00 at this number (971)-###-####, I said is this foreal it is for real. I then woke up and called at five her mom responded ” Who is this” “His bestest fiend David” she said ” I am sorry but your bestest friend is resting” “What do you mean Miss” “He died two weeks”. At this point I started to cry and every week I dream that I speak to him.

i heard a story once about someone who levitated above their body.

They were is hospital and they were very ill with cancer and was about to have it removed. They were being put to sleep when their spirit leviated. He says he saw himself asleep and then rose high enough to see a bag on top of a cupboard. After he had the operation and was well enough to have visitors he told his wife. They to the nurse and lay down on the bed and she couldn’t see the bag but it was there. He had been carried unconcious/asleep in and out of the room so hecan’t have seen it before. The theory is that he was extremely so he was about to depart to God but he came back to life because they removed the cancer. I guess that’s the theory if you’re religious though. If you’re not there isn’t really a theory.

Its sad to loose ur frnd..feel sorry..

I hv had this exp before.. I dont know if this was my imagination…
2 of my classmates had died…one when i ws in school and second during graduation..
Both were untimely deaths…both suicides ..
Neither of them were best buddies with me but we met everyday …shared the same bench etc..Now a week after my school pal had died…i experienced something like sleep paralysis…and heard her voice…calling out my name….
i freaked… woke up..and switched the light on…
My mother told me it wud be jus my imagination as i ws probably thinking about her during the day…
Nevertheless…years later wen i lost my second pal…the same thing happened…it was about 10 days later…wen i heard her call out too…i also dreamt of her… i dont know if this was real or if it was a figment of my imagination…either ways it was scary..Especially the 1st time…

Its never happened to me before and the sounds of it I dont want it.I already get bad dreams as it is.Sorry about your friend that awful.

Reading this post was very eerie, b/c I’ve had the same exact thing happen to me in my early 20′s. I am now 40 yrs. old and will never forget. I too dozed off and found myself awoken to the loud gnashing and schrilling screams and to also found myself paralyzed w/ extreme fear and freezing to the point of shivering. Wanted to get out of my room but couldn’t move, wanted to pull the covers over my head but couldn’t move. My 6 mo. old baby slept in the crib next to me and I was in fear for her. My main goal was to get her and get out but again, I could not move. Finally the noise came to a screeching halt and immediately I was planning on escape a.s.a.p. As I turned to get out of bed, wanting to put both feet to the floor, I levitated, never touching the floor. As I was lifting straight up towards the ceiling (not a very high one at that), I could see that I was moving towards (in a trance-like state) a completely 3 dimensional human figure, but it was completely pitch black. All features were human but I noticed it didn’t seem to have any legs or feet below the knees. As I drifted towards it (still in trance state), I volunteerly put my arms around it’s neck and rested my head on it’s shoulder. It said to me, “It’s okay, it’s me.” and next thing I know is I was back in bed awakened by a voice saying, “Wake up, wake up. Can you hear the radio?” And I did wake up, got my baby and got out of there quick. This has always haunted me b/c of the extreme fear, yet the comfort of whoever was there that night. One thing I feel w/ all my heart though, is that none of it was of this world. I feel I was in a different dimension of some kind. I’ve had many other strange occurrences throughout my life as well, but this one was by far the most surreal.

Initially, I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. I think that these incidents happen sometimes when our beloved ones or our most unloved ones are dead. They want to contact us and convey some message to us. So, in your case I think your friend wants to contact you. So please accept him.(only if you want).

Hi this is Cassie from South Africa, I have also had experiences where I hear wings flutter in my ear and a painful screaching like sound in my ear during sleep paralysis… I am sorry about your loss and can relate to how you feel because i have also lost my best friend in Nov 2009 (a few months ago) He contacted me through a dream and another way that I am still trying to rationalize. … …

On the day that our death comes we will surely see their faces again!

sorry about your buddy. but, how do you do sleep paralysis? are you mediating. I smoked pot at 19 and levitated above my body. a week later my brother died in a car accident. I have never did the levitating thing since 1984. not sure how to do it. I guess its like sleep paralysis. I felt like I was in a different world could see everything going on around me but saw my body laying below me. I have had spirts talking to me when I am asleep. mostly deceased friends or family members. I know there is another world or plane you reach when you go into the semi sleep state. maybe it’s another dimension.

Hey, I know exactly what you’re talking about. When you want to talk to someone, you use your head to talk (in other words think what you want to say). The other thing is that this is common when spirits are trying to trap you for some reason. I know because of my situation. I’m guessing since your friend was new at contact he probably didn’t realize the right way to get you up.

i also experienced the rush of air in my ear followed by what sounded like a radio in between stations, with loud voices not quite clear. it only lasted fractions of a second and has always puzzled me. i was wide awake reading at the time. i have never heard of a similar experience before.

Hi..sorry for your loss of your friend. I believe that our close friends and relatives ‘do’ come to visit us in our dreams sometimes;as a way to see us and visit ‘without’ freaking us out.So maybe your friend just wanted to see you and talk to you.I have had the same type of thing happen to me at times ( not every night)…just sometimes…and it is nice to see them and talk and be with them again in the dream…anyway that is my opinion…you can take it or leave it.
