The Vicarage Child

About 12 years ago I used to live in an Old Vicarage in Anglesey North Wales and it was a gorgeous place to live in and had many rooms. It also had a church that was closed off but it was still used for some burials of some of the local folk, but that is all it was ever used for.

Not long after I moved in I was in this big eerie building with my best friend at the time Shaz, and we were sitting down chatting with a cup of tea, then through my living room door I saw this figure clear as day of a child from the Victorian ere, but the problem was there was no children in the house or on the grounds at that time and both my front door and porch door was locked, yeah it did scare me at first, but the little boy stayed which I didn’t mind, but he was …

Ghost Hunting At Morecambe Winter Gardens

This lovely old building sits proudly nestled along the promenade of Morecambe looking over the bay, the building is a testament to Britain’s imperial past of the 19th century. We arrived and were greeted by both Andy and Pete who helped make sure the nights events ran so smoothly, and easily.

The activity started very early in the night as during our initial walk around whilst we were on the middle floor four people all gasped as they were sure they had seen someone sat in a seat at the exact same time at the opposite side of the theatre.

After our initial walk around the building, you were struck by the architecture and ornate decorations of the winter gardens. It is fair to say that the building has seen better days but that did not stop you imagining how it would have looked in it’s heyday. However in the here and now we were there to participate in a …

What Lives in That House?

As I am writing this I am at the age of 17. I was 13-15 when the story I am about to tell took place. I have always believed in the unknown. I can see spirits and talk to them and some times I allow them to control my body. People have always looked at me like I was the odd ball out and I am in ways. My cousin how ever didn’t believe me until she witnessed my doll try to kill me.

When I was 13 my mother moved me to Fostoria from North Baltimore. I knew the minute I stepped in the house that some thing was not right. Call it a gut feeling. Well while unpacking I had noticed that my favorite school girl dolls (collectors dolls) package had been damaged. So instead of trying to fix it I just took her out of the package. Now my doll had brown eyes when I had unpacked …

The Ghosts Are Back

Well, I’m once again back here, sharing my stories, I have one other story on here, called “Growing Up With A Ghost For A Best Friend” you may, or may not have read it. Or not. But the point in me being back is, I can see them again. I don’t know how but I have a fair idea.

I’m 16 now, and no longer living with my mum, I’m living with my dad. But before I moved, my mum asked if I would do the Ouija board with her, I agreed and we got a few ghosts to talk to us.

One in particular told me the reason I couldn’t see the ghosts anymore was because I was scared, not on the face of it all, but deep down. I knew it was right. How could it not be, but I was told I’m more fearless in a way now, and if I prove I can take …

Haunted JFK Statuette

This is actually my mom’s story that she told me. When she was younger her step-father had gotten a statuette and it was a John F. Kennedy statuette. It had like diamonds for its pupils and she thought that looked weird. So when he got it weird stuff started like the people that they new, stuff happened to them.

My step-grandfather got sent to the hospital, my grandmother was also sent to the hospital because one of her lungs clasped, a neighbor hit my moms school bus, etc. The thing that happened to my mom is a little freaky.

My mom and her friend were decorating the house and her friend was at the other side of the house from were my mom was and my mom was on a stool hanging stuff up and all of a sudden the stool was shaking and nobody was near her. (she and her friend were the only ones there at the time.) …

Haunted House or Haunted Me?

Please people if you do not believe me then don’t leave any negative comments, I just want to know if anyone has ever experienced this before if so please help me.

My name is Michael and I am 14 years old. When I was four I was taken away from my family and just when I turned 8 I went back to them.
We lived in a huge house in Coboconk Canada Ontario, my mother always said this house was haunted and there was a true story on it but I never believed her until a month after my birthday.

The experiences that I felt were abnormal, like someone/thing was watching me more then one to be correct. I’d get a dream of me verbally screaming at my cabinets, mirrors, etc, then everything would start moving around my room, window opening and closing, mirrors all moving with a dead happy image of an old man/woman and everything would be thrown …

Ghost Hunting at Cusworth Hall Doncaster

The Simply Ghost Night team had such a great time at Cusworth Hall, but the nights event was made so much easier to run with the help of the Cusworth Hall staff of Phil and Craig, for which no task was to small for them and we thank them both for all their help.

With a full house at Cusworth Hall the team were enthralled to listen to the ghost hunters tales of their own ghostly experiences, with so many new faces who were so excited to attend their first ghost hunting event, the atmosphere was electric inside the packed greeting room. The Simply Ghost Night team were overwhelmed with the turnout of ghost hunters and we had indeed had to stop selling tickets months prior to the event.

The nights ghost hunting at Cusworth Hall, in Doncaster started quiet for some of the groups, with reports of tapping, light anomalies, and movement of ghostly dark shadows, as well as …

The Ghostly Bus Passenger Who Disappeared

This was a ghost story that my late father in law told me nearly twenty years ago, his story goes back some twenty years before that he mentioned his ghostly tale to me. Around 1975 he was working as a bus driver in and around the Durham area, but this story is not about him rather a good friend of his who too was a bus driver for the same bus company.

On a late summers evening around about 10pm my father in laws friend, who was called Peter, was making his way back to the depot down the country lanes of Durham, he was driving a single decker bus the bus had a door for entry and a door further along the bus for passengers to exit the bus. With the bus empty of passengers as it was his last run back towards the bus depot office. As he was driving along he noticed a young lady at a …

Is My Mind Playing Tricks on Me?

I live with my boyfriend and his family and strange things have started to happen. His parents have told me about hearing whispering and things going missing and popping up randomly. There is a basement and an attic. I sleep in the attic and everyone else sleeps on the main floor.

We were watching TV and my boyfriend’s mom’s husband pulled out his phone and had a ghost radar application on it. We used it and there would be different colored dots for how close or strong an entity would be. Then at the bottom right hand would be a places where random letters would scroll and it would be the entities talking. I didn’t believe it worked. After about 10 minutes of no ghost activity I shouted, “Come and get me boogey man. You want a piece of me Candy man”, just trying to be funny. The screen had like 5 dots indicating spirits and a weird feeling came …

My Yorkshire Siting

When I was about the age of eight, my family and I moved to Yorkshire to a fairly big town and lived in a large old-fashioned house. I used to hate going upstairs on my own after school and I had to ask someone to go with me because I always had the eerie feeling that someone was following me. There were three floors. My room was like the size of a cupboard and I always felt safest there and in the kitchen.

Anyway, one night, after living there for a year and having some strange experiences like doors opening and closing and unexplainable shadows forming, I felt a presence in the living room.

My family’s friends had just gone home after a dinner party at around 11 o’clock at night, and I was saying goodnight to my parents. As I sat on the sofa I felt a heavy weight sit on the other side and I saw dip in …

Goodrich Cemetery

I had heard That Goodrich Cemetery at 37mile in Michigan was haunted. My brother and his friends go there all the time and they said that there is a ghost girl that haunts the whole cemetery. They said her name was Nancy. They went there about a month ago. When they were there they took a video camera so they could record everything so they could show people. In the video they said “Nancy if you are here, give us a sign.” A few seconds later, you could hear this really deep voice breathing. They also heard chains coming from under neither a tree. There was a lot of weird things and weird noises.

So anyways a weeks ago I decided to go there and check it out. It was about 9 and there is this really long road you have to go down to get to the cemetery. On that road there is an insane asylum and I think …

My Haunted Childhood Home

In 1973 my parents bought an old house that had been sitting empty for a long time. The house was at the end of a hollow (“Holler”) and you actually had to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to even get to it. (When the weather was bad you couldn’t even get a 4-wheel drive up to it!)

This house was fairly big and included an above ground basement which made it two stories high plus a huge attic. The house had been vandalized in that most of the windows were busted, ceiling tiles and walls torn up and lots of garbage and junk. My father was a mason and carpenter, he built homes for a living so he went to work on the remodeling. It took a while before he had the house ready for us to move into and even then at first we stayed in an area down stairs until the rest of the house was ready. Eventually …
