Ghost in Photo on Australia Grave Stone?

I was taking a photo of my grandfathers grave (W.M. Towell) recently in Brisbane Queensland, Australia. A friend was looking at the photo and inquired how old the grave to the left of my grandparents grave was.

When I zoomed the photo in I immediately saw a woman’s face looking back from the centre of the gravestone. After looking for a while longer not really believing what I was seeing I noticed to the top left of the headstone is what appears to three Australian Soldiers wearing their army Slouch Hats. On the right hand side of the headstone is what appears to be a young women with maybe flowers in her hair.

I hope to hear back on what your opinion is on what I have captured in this picture.

Possible Ghost Picture from Old English Pub

Hello, I recently bumped into an old friend who I hadn’t seen for months. He knows that I’m interested in all paranormal and decided to strike up a very interesting conversation on UFOs and ghosts. We spoke for hours and the time flew by.

He then showed me a photo on his camera that he insisted he’d taken of his friend Jenny and her Aunty in a local old pub. In the upper left corner we can see a very bright anomaly shaped similar to a face, possibly with horns! He swears the strange luminous object wasn’t there when he took the photo, and to prove to me this was so he offered to drive me approximately two miles to this old inn.

When we got to the pub we got a drink and he walked us over to the exact spot where the photo was taken (on 15th March 2009). We even took another several shots from the precise …

Ghost in the Picture?

Here is a possible ghost picture that we received from a visitor. This photograph is presented here to give you, the readers, the chance to post your comments. What do you think?

Here is the information we received about the picture:

Hi, I had this email sent to me today, Tuesday 9th March 2010, from a friend named Stix. I have no idea if its genuine but Stix assures me that the guy who took the photo is very honest.

The story goes that the man who took the picture of his daughter had been noticing that things have been mysteriously moved all around the house since they moved into their new place. The baby’s toys keep going missing and turning up in strange places!

The other day he took a photo of his little girl and this strange figure appeared in the fire place. It looks like a Victorian woman to me, I just hope its not a new …

Ghost Demon Alien Entity or Just Strange Mist?

Hi, This could either be a very thought provoking photograph, or… nothing at all. I don’t know the answer, that’s why I’ve decided to share it with you.

We had been on vacation to England’s south coast, I believe we were in Poole, Dorset. There were two couples, Simon and Mandy Lawrence and myself with my girlfriend. It was a summers evening around 10 pm, August ’06.

I’ve had this picture for three years, but when I got a virus in my PC my friend had to wipe the hard-drive etc to clean up the virus threat. I was upset that I’d lost this and many other photo’s during the clean up operation without saving the pictures. However, my good friend Shaun Williams managed to retrieve these old files for me just recently.

I still don’t know what to make of this photo. Is it really just some natural anomaly or something more, much more? The main reason prompting me to …

Ghost in North Yorkshire?

Hi. I’ve always had an avid interest in UFOs, ghosts and all paranormal. This is the first photograph I’ve ever taken that has completely overwhelmed me! I was speechless to say the least.

Me and my ex-girlfriend had recently returned from a great trip in northern England, mainly the desolate, remote and frankly quite eerie North Yorkshire moors. I had my new digital camera and took literally hundreds of pictures of the beautiful panoramic landscapes. Now, I often capture many ‘orbs’ but this photo is simply fantastic.

We noticed nothing at the time the picture was taken, however upon arriving back home in the Midlands around a week later I was scanning photos on my PC when my girlfriend suddenly grabbed my hand and said ‘STOP!’ She insisted I zoom in to the centre left of one particular picture, (SD 10306) which I’d taken of the rather stunning snow covered fields. (The date on the alien/ghost picture is 19.01.2009, time …

William Mumler and the First Ghost Pictures

In 1861 when a Boston photographer named William H. Mumler discovered that “extras” could appear in a photo if the glass plate were a recycled one with a residual image. Spiritualism by then being all the rage, Mumler began to produce “spirit photographs” for credulous sitters, including – after the assassination of her husband – Mary Todd Lincoln. Eventually Mumler was exposed when it was discovered that some of the alleged spirits in his photos were still-living Bostonians!

There were – and are – many ways to produce fake spirit photos in addition to double exposures. One technique was used in earlier times when long exposures were necessary. A suitably garbed assistant would slip from behind a curtain, stand briefly, then disappear again – this taking place behind the unaware sitter who was intent on remaining motionless. The result would be a faint, transparent “spirit” image beside the solid posed figure.

Mumler, was charged with fraud in New York City …

Fire Girl Ghost Picture

Jane Churm Fire Girl Ghost

Here is a very well known ghost photograph taken in 1995 which contains a girl in the doorway in front of a blazing fire. The building is the Wem town hall of Shropshire, England. This picture was taken from the other side of the street. The girl was not seen at the time that the photograph was taken and was only noticed after the picture was developed.

No bodies were discovered in the burned out structure nor was anyone reported as missing. However, according to the local folklore a girl by the name of Jane Churm had burned down the town hall building in 1677 when she accidentally dropped a burning candle. The ghost of this young girl has been reported to haunt the Wem town hall building since that fire.

Could this be the ghost of Jane Churm captured in this photograph? Is it possible that this ghost had something to do with the …

Virginia City Nevada Motel Ghost Picture

Here we have another possible ghost picture for you to consider.

This photograph was sent in to us by a member of our forum who goes by the ID “Palerider”. The picture was taken in August of 2007 in a Virginia City, Nevada motel room.

Palerider said, “My wife and I were looking at our images and came across this one that looked odd. The more I looked at it the more convinced I am I captured something. In addition to the shadow figure look at the smaller cropped image. It looks like a second spirit/ghosts face is present.

I lightened the cropped image a bit to highlight what I believe is a face. A couple of things of note on this image for you to consider:

1) The shadow appears to be solid, hides the chair and does not follow the shape of the drapes.
2) The shadow is not present in the mirror to the right.”

So what …

Wedding Day Ghost Picture

Here is another older photograph that was taken in 1942 at a wedding, hence the nickname “Wedding Day Ghost”. Many people believe this photo shows a ghost in the trees behind the newlyweds. Who is she? Could it be that she is a past love interest to the groom? Perhaps she is angry that he is getting married.

What do you think about this “ghost picture”? Is this really a ghost that we see which seems to be flying from out of the tree branches? Or is it just an optical illusion, an exceptionally detailed example of pareidolia?

Here is what some of our forum members had to say about this picture:

“Fake or not, great picture. Some of the best photos I have seen are from earlier time periods such as this.” ~ aprofenno

“Great picture, seems like that ghost was a little jealous and getting ready to give the bride “what for”. For me, it’s hard to believe …

Freddy Jackson Ghost Picture

Here is a well known paranormal photo that has been widely published both in books and online. This strange picture was shot in 1919 but wasn’t published until 1975.

This picture is a group portrait of Sir Victor Goddard’s squadron. These men had served in the R.A.F. in WW I. If you look in the top row at the fourth man from the left you will see a ghost like face behind him.

Two days before this photograph was taken a mechanic by the name of Freddy Jackson died in an accident. Jackson’s funeral had actually been held on the same day the group photo was taken. Squadron members have said they could recognize the face in the picture as that of Freddy Jackson.

Did Jackson show up for the group photo even though he was dead? In our Paranormal Survey {at the time of this posting} 83.5% of those who participated said that they believe this is a genuine …

Paranormal Caught in Pictures?

Today I am posting a few interesting pictures that were sent in to us by Karen Morfu. Karen is interested in what others might think about these pictures. Was something paranormal caught by the photographer? There is certainly a lot of controversy over the legitimacy of ghost pictures but that in no way rules out the possibilities that something supernatural may actually be caught on “film”.

At first glance you might be tempted to say that what is actually in these pictures is a camera strap or cable. I mentioned this to her and she said, “there was no strap like that on the camera, I know there are a lot of people who are skeptics out there, even here in France they said that it was because of a light in the window, but the same thing showed up in the restaurant.”

These images were scanned directly from the original photographs and have not been altered or enhanced in …

Connection Between My Soul And Jane Churm

I’m a human of wonder and adventure, my mind pressures me to seek what I feel. Today I was doing a normal daily routine cleaning the house, and I felt this strange warming hot sensation on my right shoulder, like someone was leaning on my shoulder and pushing it down. All of a sudden I needed to go to the computer and look up something. I didn’t know what, I was afraid feeling a pressure pushing  me backwards as I was fighting the energy.

As I slowly read on I was particularly connected to the picture of Jane Churm’s image of the Town Hall Building in 1677. My eyes were drawn to her, my mind was connected to her. I feel a pressure of air pushing me down and pulling me closer to the computer screen.

At that time I felt like she saw me looking right into her eyes, I could see her reflection and emotion in my eyes. …
