Funny Happening when I was a Student

It is a true story that happened for me a few years ago when I was a student.

When I was younger I had a sincere friend. When our examine was going to start we went to his house and studied all night. Their little house was in an old alley. Anyhow one night as always I went to their house and both studied until midnight. Gradually we felt napping and finally he said: it is enough I’m going to sleep it is better you sleep too. So he went to downstairs and I remained there.

After a moment I turned off the lamps all and go to sleep. In middle of the night (about 3 am) I woke up scary because of a wonder voice. “Khesh, khesh, khesh…” it was like an alternate noise from a FM wireless radio. It seemed the source of noise be in that room I wanted got up and turn on but as I …

I love You Pappou

This is not a scary, ghost story. Just a story that I hope warms your heart.

My Pappou (grandpa in Greek) was named Konstandinos Gregory Amentas. He was a good man. He was strong-willed yet loving. He and my yiayia brought up my father and aunt with the basis that family was the most important thing.

I am 14 years old. When I was one, my yiayia passed away. She was finally at rest from a life of pain and fighting with bone and breast cancer.

After her death, Pappou sold their house and decided to live with my family for a month, then he would alternate to my aunts house for a month. This arrangement worked out great because we have a spare room in the basement and we loved having him around.

Eight years later, on my brothers 11th birthday, we get a call from Greece. Pappou passed away. But don’t feel bad for me my friends… he …

Monte Cristo Australias Most Haunted House

It was about a month ago when two of my friends and I went to Monte Cristo – Australia’s most haunted house.

We were non-believers at the time and determined to remain skeptical. Needles to say our experience terrified us and we are now true believers in the after life.

We toured the house and wandered about thinking it was all a big joke, when we heard what seemed like a child yelling. We were a little spooked, but thought it might be a trick.

It was only when we noticed that no one else seemed to hear the noise that we started feeling a bit uneasy. But after about 5 minutes the noise stopped and we didn’t hear anything else. We did however, get the fright of our life when we entered the dining room and saw a lady in a black dress that appeared to be dressed in clothes from the past, but as a whole she seemed …

Ghosts Demons and God

My first experience happened when I was a senior in high school, 13 years ago. There was an abandoned house not far off the road in a very desolate area at the time. It was one of those dare type things to go to this house and see if you could see anything and not be scared, so 2 of my friends and myself went on a Friday night.

When we pulled up to the house, I immediately had this feeling of hatred and dread and neither one of them felt anything. We go inside and it’s all dusty and cobwebby, and then there was the staircase where supposedly things happen. I went up first and when I got to the landing at the end of the hall there was a black shadow figure and it began running towards me and I could feel such hatred from this entity. I turn around almost knocking my friend down and screamed we …

The Name of Jesus

Recently an interesting question was asked about the name “Jesus” in the comments of one of our stories here. The topic wasn’t really relevant to the story but it is very interesting so I have decided to publish it here.

If you aren’t interested in the subject please feel free to go on to the other stories. I am sure that many of our readers will be interested in this so this post is for all of those folks.

Comment by Dave:

Did you guys know that the name “Jesus” is only about 600 years old, the letter “J” didn’t even exist prior to that. The problem is that “Jesus” lived about 2000 years ago so how could that have been His name? Why do people adopt this false name? Perhaps its a lack of knowledge. Shouldn’t we be calling him by the name that the apostles used? In the book of Peter it says that there is only ONE …

My Purple Charm

Let me start off by saying, I own a cute little purple rhinoceros. I could never think of a good name for him, so I just call him Rhino. He has pink on the bottom of his feet, in his ears, and on his horns and in his nostrils and on the furry tip if his tail and has long limbs. I don’t know where he came from, (the tags on the his bottom are blank, no company logo or anything.) It was probably too long ago to remember, but because of his colors, I believe he was a gift for valentines day. He is very special to me for many reasons. He fills me with confidence, and comforts me, when no one else will. Not to mention, he’s a wonderful listener.

I recently remembered something from the past. Before, I moved here to Georgia, I lived in Canton, Ohio. One night there was a lightning storm and the lights …

Dreams of Angels and Demons

Okay, so I’m fourteen years old and I’ve always had strange dreams. However, in the last few months I’ve had two very memorable dreams. One was about an angel with black wings and the other was about me getting chased by weird creatures.

The first one was the most recent and I remember suddenly I’m on a rope bridge that is hanging between two mountains. Below this bridge is a river. I don’t know how I knew this. I only know that this bridge is very high up. This bridge was old and the wood and ropes were rotted. And I know that I am not myself. I am a man that I’ve never met before. Suddenly, this man jumps from the bridge.

Then I’m in another person. I realize that this person had been standing there the whole time, just the man that had jumped, man 1, had not been able to see him. This man, man 2, also …

The Gargoyle in France

The Gargoyle often makes his perch On a cathedral or church where mid ecclesiastic style He smiles an early gothic smile ~ Oliver Herford.

These peculiar race of creatures which inhabit many places in France dating to 600 B.C. The purpose of a gargoyle was to drain water from a building. The word comes from the French ” gargouille” meaning “throat or pipe”. The statues have migrated away from churches and can be found on other buildings.

In medieval times people had a powerful belief in God. The cathedral was a “sermon in stone” which could be “read” by an illiterate population. Some gargoyles are illustrating Bible stories, from Eve’s first reach for the apple, to the images of eternal damnation. Not all were for religious instruction, many are simply grotesque, they were made so to scare off evil spirits and that’s why they were put on buildings.

If you have seen gargoyles you will notice a recurring theme of …
