A Night Full of Demons

Posted on October 26, 2011

This happened a few months ago, but it stands out a lot, because it is only one of two nights of my life that I remember my dreams being haunted by demons. To be clear I do believe in demons as real, even if they are popping up in dreams. People often take dreams as nothing but nonsense, and sometimes they are nonsense, but other times it seems clear that dreams feature real spirits. Only twice have I had nights full of demons, though – I have had many more experiences with positive entities.

So I was having a rough time and I was pretty shaken that a couple of days previously, two cop cars had pulled me over for a rolling stop at a stop sign, at the corner of the street I live on! I had been driving on a suspended license, because of a DMV fine I could not afford to pay a few months back, so the cops towed my vehicle, gave me court papers, and I walked home sadly. (To be clear, I honestly could not afford the fine yet, and I was saving up for it. I was still driving because I had to.) The cops were mean, loud, and obnoxious.

I suppose the experience made me feel paranoid, like so many people are just out to get people randomly, even at home! I was filled with frustration that the inability to pay a fine, results in punishments and more fines, plus court (during a workday), as if poverty itself is a crime, to be punished with more fines! What a joke of justice. I let the frustration and hatred carry me too far, which resulted in the demons chasing me a couple nights later. Clearly we attract similar energy to what we give out!

It seemed that my whole night was full of dreams, many hours of them. Every dream would start out fine, but soon a demon would jump into it, often just a dark figure surrounded by darkness, that would try to confront me.

For example, a pleasant dream would start, and I’d be chatting with nice folks in a nice house. After a few minutes, I’d notice a shadowy corner somewhere, and suddenly a dark figure would come rushing towards me from a distance, coming closer until it was in front of my face. The presence would be oppressive, trying to overpower me with malice and hatred. I remember shouting at the demons, “Get out of here!” “Leave me alone!” “Positive energy only!” I kept avoiding them when I could, and I also tried to stay as positive as I could, so as not to be affected by them. After a moment I would succeed in dispelling the bad presence, and I would be in a new nice setting, until it happened again. They were clearly chasing me that night.

One male presence kept trying to fight with me or attack me – just a figure of darkness, surrounded by darkness. I fled and escaped from him in a few dreams, but had to struggle with him physically when I could not avoid it. One incident involved a knife that I apparently tried to use against him (after trying to escape him), and then he managed to overpower my grip of the knife and he slashed my leg, over my left foot. The pain was sharp, although I remained in the dream, amazed and shocked that such a real stab was felt, despite the common belief that pain cannot be felt in dreams. (There is that saying that if you think you are dreaming, pinch yourself, and if there is no pain, then it means you are dreaming!) After that slash I managed to dispel him again and change the scenery to pleasant once again. But the pain from the cut seemed to throb once in a while throughout the other dreams that night, and I even thought I felt it in waking life a few times.

One of the scariest moments was in a living-room type setting, with nice folks around, and a stuffed toy cat on a table right next to me. I was chatting pleasantly when I looked at the stuffed cat and it stared at me with evil eyes, suddenly growing huge, with giant fangs and wild fur, just glaring at me. I shouted to the folks I was just talking with, “Look! Look! It’s one of them! It followed me here!” Then I succeeded in fleeing the scene again, and it seemed that my companions in that dream actually helped somehow, once I alerted them to what was happening. Perhaps they helped simply by seeing and understanding what was happening, once I yelled to them.

I woke up exhausted, drained, and crazy. If there is a moral of the story, we need to always stay as positive and cheerful as we can, so bad energy or entities cannot follow us and feed off of our negativity.

I might as well mention the first night of demons that I had experienced about a decade before. I had been living with my beautiful girlfriend of the time in a nice small apartment. One night while sleeping (after a period of some kind of frustration), I remember my spirit walking through my apartment but it was just filled with darkness, like a dark mist, and demons were everywhere, grumbling and whispering, moving around in the rooms. I tried to avoid them and not look at them, as I made my way through. I did get painfully cut in that experience too, a small claw slash to my forearm, which happened at one point when I could not avoid them. I also shouted when I was cut back then, “This is pain! You are not supposed to be able to feel pain in a dream!” That time, the shouting was more just reactionary, and less lofty than the forceful, positive shouting in the recent experience.

Those two nights were terrible, but I have had so many more good experiences that those two nights do not amount to much. We all simply need to stay as positive and upbeat as we can, every day and night of our lives! We are always attracting similar energy (and entities) to us, so staying positive and cheerful is always important!
