The Haunted Mansion
September 8, 2008
I’m now 36, this happened a long time ago I’ve never really told anyone my story except for my husband Richard, but I think its about time. All of this is true but its your opinion against mine.
I was eleven when I started to realize weird things in my aunt Lorain’s house but no-one ever believed me. My aunt’s house was old and had been built in the middle of a forest where they had a well where they tested witch chronicles. Okay, so lets get started.
I gave a smile as I walked into my aunt Lorain’s mansion, she had lived there for seven months now and she seemed to be fitting in quite nicely. I looked up at the ceiling and saw two beautiful glass lights that sparkled over the whole room, they were my fathers. My father passed when I was eight. My father and aunt were very close and he left his most centered possessions to her.
“Come in my darling, come in” Aunt Lorain said as she grasped my shoulder, “Uncle Chris is in the sitting room.” She patted my head and then pointed to the living room. I smiled and then walked on. Looking through the glass door I could see my uncle sitting on the sofa watching the TV. I didn’t really get on with my uncle so I avoided him as much as possible. “Lorain, I’m going to put my bags in the guest bedroom” I said whilst walking up the stairs. She nodded at me and then carried on chatting to my mother.
I walked slowly trying not to wake my Aunt’s baby who was fast asleep in her crib on the landing. I walked in to the spare room and put my bags down, and that’s where the weirdness began. Read more of this Ghost Post
Haunted House In Bangor Maine
September 7, 2008
The very first thing I noticed about my old house was that it was… well, old. It looked kinda freaky, but my mom wanted the house because it had an antique kind of look. It had spiral stairs, and it looked like a dream house… but it was old, cost a lot of money, and it was always cold for some reason. The realtor said it wasn’t for sale but my mom has a way with words. She wanted it no matter what the realtor said, and so, she got it. It was pretty nice.
My room was really big and it was upstairs, the first door on the right, but I hated that the guest room was always the coldest room though because I would like to sit in there and draw while looking out the window. It had an awesome view. My mom kept on calling people to fix the thermostat, but they kept on telling her that there was nothing wrong with it. I thought it was a little creepy so I did a little investigating. I checked every single room for anything weird, but I couldn’t find anything. There was one room I didn’t want to check though because it was a little too creepy down there. It was in the cellar, but I did anyway because I was getting sick and tired of having to wear a jacket throughout the whole house when the thermostat was on like 85 degrees. Why Is Our Family So Haunted?
September 6, 2008
Let me start with the first ghost experience in the first house. It is in Columbia IL. My father built this house from the ground up. Nothing was recovered as far as bones or anything of that nature when the house was built. It took a while for the activity to start happening.
The first time I experienced it, I was downstairs (the basement was fully finished) in my bedroom and I heard a voice whisper my name. Then it told me it had a surprise for me. I was a little girl at the time so of course I thought it was my mom whispering through the air vents. I ran upstairs and asked my mom what my surprise was. She had no idea what I was talking about.
Then I began to see what I used to call the Ninja Men. They were tall black cloaked figures that would disappear into the walls. I saw them on several occasions. There was another incident when I was taking a bath in the bathtub downstairs. I happened to look up and see something at the doorway. I screamed for my mom. She came but saw nothing. There was also a time that my mother had a babysitter come over to watch me. We were in the basement watching TV. when the door handle on the door to the garage started to wiggle and shake. No one was in the garage. Read more of this Ghost Post
My Ghost Story - The Old Man In Our House
September 5, 2008
When my husband and I moved into our house, I began “seeing things” out of the corner of me eye, like a shadow moving across a wall. My husband said it was probably a reflection of a car going past or a tree blowing in the wind. I noticed our cat wouldn’t go all the way down the hallway or into the bedroom at the end of the hall. If you picked her up and tried to carry her down the hall, she would fight to get away.
Our oldest daughter often came to visit and on one occasion asked me if I had ever seen anything strange in this house. I told her about the shadows and she said “Yes, I see them too”. One night while she was visiting, my daughter and I were watching TV and my husband had gone to bed as it was very late. The lamp on the table between our chairs was on and my small dog was laying beside me in the chair. He stood up and was looking toward the doorway, (wagging his tail like he was glad to see someone) when I saw a softball sized shadow run toward my chair, like a spider running across the floor. I instinctively lifted my feet and it disappeared under the chair. My daughter had seen it too and asked what that was. My dog jumped down, and stuck his nose under the chair, still wagging his tail. I looked under the chair and even moved it, but didn’t see anything. My daughter and I, though startled by this, talked how it was strange that we weren’t frightened by whatever we had just witnessed. Read more of this Ghost Post
Two Ghosts And The Ouija Board
September 4, 2008
My whole life I have been quite interested by the supernatural, probably because many things used to confuse me and happen with no explanation. But what made it worse was that it was usually me and only me who witnessed it all (there are a few exceptions) and I knew it wasn’t imagination.
Sorry, this will probably be a long story, and as I’m not the best writer, it might be a bit confusing. I will try my best to tell you the true events I have encountered.
I think the most activity started in the house that I live in now, my family moved in here when I was about 11 (I’m now 17), I used to sleep in a big room with my sister, but moved into the small room at the end of the hallway. that’s when it proper started. I was in my room reading a book on my bed, facing the door. When I heard a loud breathing coming from the door, I lowered the book thinking my sister or mum was there, but the hallway was empty. My mum and sister were in their rooms with the doors closed. I told my mum, but like most parents and adults… she didn’t believe me.
After that I used to hear a lot of footsteps going up and down the stairs and hallway, even when I was the only one in. I saw a child like figure running past doorways and heard a little girl giggle when I was at my front door with my boyfriend at the time, he didn’t hear it. No one else was in the house.
